Great ice cream, even greater service! I would recommend the toffee and honeycomb.

The ice creams are amazing. Unfortunately they fail when it comes to dealing with allergies in particular. Both daughters have a potentially life threatening nut allergy and when I asked what they could do to ensure that the ice cream was safe I was met with a fairly sullen response (I believe it was the owner too - the staff were fine). The risk comes from cross contamination - the same scoops are used for “nut” ice creams as for all the others, dollops of nut ice creams taken then the scoop going into a tub of non nut, tubs being stored right next to each other - and a little rinse of the scoop or even a new scoop doesn’t remove these risks but that seems to be as far as they will go. There are things that can be done - keep the nut ice creams separate and use different scoops for them, scoop the nut ones on second with a completely separate scoop if it’s a mixed cone, use completely separate scoops for non nut ice creams, keep a separate small selection of non nut flavours away and completely separate from nut ones etc etc but there seems to be a general refusal to do this. It’s not that much to ask when it’s possibly life threatening. By contrast Beacon Farm, which isn’t far away, will open a new ice cream tub of whatever flavour you ask for and will use a fresh clean scoop to serve it. Great ice cream but it’s not difficult to help people out in this situation

Was closed, but only temporarily, as advised by the owner, as I was still in the area, I drove past again, and any signage to show how long it would be closed, and when it would be re-opened was not readable from the road, and as a disabled person I would not be getting out to look closer, I checked out the website and Facebook pages and at the time the website also not working! And no mention on the Facebook page, so maybe an update on there would have led to me making a better initial review.This review has been revised in response to the owners reply, and will try again, but hopefully there will be some indication of open / closed status before I make a 50 mile round trip to visit.

Lovely ice cream parlour. Great selection. One queue for 2 windows, though no one in the queue notices and the poor man at the far window can't shout "next please" loud enough over the sound of the traffic.

Slightly disappointed after numerous must try recommendations. It is Icecream but not as extraordinary as some suggested. If you fancy Icecream its good icecream in pleasant village setting, so enjoy.

Delicious ice-cream, but service leaves a lot to be desired.Visited today with our 3 year old who wanted a soft vanilla icecream cone with blue bubblegum syrup on it. It seemed like a simple request as I could see from the pictures of the bubblegum sundae that they had blue syrup, but apparently this was too much to ask. "We don't do that" is the response I got. I pointed to a picture of the bubblegum sundae. The server said "We have the sauce but we dont put it on those icecreams". I explained it was for a little one who had her heart set on a cone with blue syrup, but I was met with the same response. So, looking for a solution to my predicament, I offered to pay the higher price of the sundae but for them to put the contents on a cone instead, to which I received a very large huff and eye roll before she said "Fine, I'll just do it", turning around like a disgruntled teenager, muttering under her breathe to her colleague as she put the sauce on, not trying to hide her displeasure from me at all. Yes, in an ideal world my daughter would've just had the bubblegum sundae but she is, after all, only 3 and wanted an icecream cone!Really struggling to understand what the issue was here. Surely being accommodating to children is something an icecream parlour would put high on their list?! Some customer service training seems to be in order.Loved the icecream, but will not visit again. Shame.

ADDRESS IS ACTUALLY BALDERSON'S CAFE & TEA GARDENS but presumably s linked with the Ice Cream shop too? Very safe system. Good food & friendly staff. Have been here several times over the Years. Recommended restaurant & shops.

I’d describe this as a sandwich bar rather than an ice cream parlour but hey ho. Excellent service and friendly efficient staff. Food was lovely and freshly made

I’m not fussed about ice cream...BUT....Me and my girlfriend ordered the Nutella Sundae and I didn’t order anything. I thought I might taste it and have no more than a sample taste of my girlfriends order. HOW WRONG I WAS. I think i ate more of it than she did! It was delicious, very well made, layered properly, it was very delicious. Absolutely lovely. Can highly recommend!
