Black Swan in Ryedale

Great hotel, bar and restaurant. Very friendly efficient staff who made our stay memorable. Bedrooms were clean and seemed newly decorated with everything you need. Dinner was very good and great selection of locally brewed beers.

Restaurant was lovely chef had made a peppery tomato soup which was delicious could have eaten it again as my main. Steak and ale pie was the best I’ve tasted served to you piping hot would definitely recommend

Excellent service from om both Olivia and Gemma. Lovely home brew, pizza and skinny chips both excellent. Very quirky gents toilets. Linen napkins a very welcome change from paper serviettes. Dog friendly too.

I think this place was amazing. Staff so friendly and helpful. The style of everything was fantastic. The only reason I haven't put 5 stars is I'm a big lover of my breakfast and both mornings to my taste the sausages was under cooked and the bacon was over cooked. Everything else was 100% spot on. Fully recommended for a family holiday or just a little break way.

We had a lovely over night stay at the Black Swan. Fantastic staff and lovely food. Great beers as well.The staff were so attentive and nothing was to much trouble for them.Lovely breakfast. Looking forward to staying again 🙂

Awesome place.. really good food, friendly staff, good beer and possibly the best coffee I've had all year.. kids food menu is any main at half price just how it should be.

Had a lovely meal here. Food was cooked well and was hot and very tasty. Husband was given a beer to try as a taster before he ordered it. Staff were friendly and food was delivered in a timely manner. Nice fire in the area we were in. Would come again.

We arrived for 2 nights 24/3/2022 very warm welcome the room were delightful very clean and comfortable bed .Very nice bathroom with shower and bath , the staff very friendly and help full we had an evening meal on the Saturday good choices very nice food and service. Breakfast plenty of choice and tasted delicious .The dinning area was very pleasant also the bar was cosy and relaxing good choice of drinks and real ale if your not sure they would recommend and let you sampleIt's well worth a visit you won't be disappointed they are very obligingThank youKim and John

Wonderful base to explore the area from. Highly recommend the team at the Black Swan. Nothing too much trouble. Clean comfortable room. Excellent breakfast and great quality evening food on offer. Would definitely stay again.

Had steak and Ale pie in the restaurant. It was excellent, place wasn't too busy as it was on a cold February evening but it was very clean, nice atmosphere with the log fire going and friendly, polite staff. The local ale was good too. I'll definitely go back next time I'm working in the area.
