Canadian Fields in Ryedale

This place for Sunday lunch is fabulous! Beautiful location, great atmosphere and excellent food (as always). Jenny and her team of staff are brilliant. Also do feature nights steak nights, pie nights, fish n chips. Toilet are clean but a trek for anyone with mobility issues and there are a couple of steps which could be made into ramps for better accessibility. Would love to try the glamping lodges but perhaps too local. Definitely worth a visit (or more). 😁

Loved it! Very clean, small but beautiful site with great amenities. The onsite restaurant is lovely and is in a western style teepee, amazingly decorated. The food is top quality and worth the price paid. Best to pre order but they are more than accommodating if not.Only downside was the sound of geese early hours in the morning from the neighbouring farm but who cares...thats what camping is all about. My family love this site too. No doubt we will all be back.

Absolutely thee best site we've been on. Fields are flat for a perfect pitch. Facilities immaculate, showers are like home from home. Washing machine and tumble dryer available. Shop well stocked, even had ice lollies and ice! Restaurant is out of this world, beautifully decorated with a magical feel to it. Staff are very friendly and always around if you need anything. Lovely play area and plenty of room for the kids to run around. So peaceful and relaxing. Would highly recommend booking up.

Nice location. There is a nice little playground the kids loved that felt safe for them to play in, while we sat outside our tents.The facilities are a little tired and need updating. There must be a goose farm in the next field and they are very noisy first thing in the morning.We didn't eat in the restaurant but the food looked great.Overall, a lovely holiday but probably wouldn't stay at this site again.

Really disappointed. The Shepherds Hut we stayed in was built opposite the child's playground so there was lots of noise, day one was constant shouting and screaming until just past 10pm, we nearly packed up the car and left then. Fortunately the other days weren't as bad, but there was no peace in evenings until 10ish. Restaurant is also nearby and there seemed to be a party there one night until past 10. Also the outside area of our hut hadn't been cleaned there was some litter and quite a lot of natural debris on the porch area. The hut itself is nicely self contained, but expensive as just a place to sleep as the camp site was so noisy.

Lovely campsite. We were there for one night with our tent on the field. Showers and toilets are clean and have plenty of space inside them. Really friendly atmosphere on site.

We enjoyed the camp site, bathroom facilities could do with an upgrade but suppose you are camping so a little roughing it is part and parcel. Pitch sizes were good and plenty of open space to play.

Always Excellent, super experienced staff great food well presented, Steaks were cooked to perfection, Fish and Vegetarian options Excellent too . Starters and pudding all good . I was late arriving to a busy restaurant, but the experienced staff rejigged the booking with no Fuss . Great night , really worth a visit. Thankyou .

Lovely campsite , nice flat service to pitch the tent. Facilities were clean and accessible. Park was ideal for the kids to keep them entertained and to top it off the weather was perfect for our time away.

Love this campsite! Great location ,good facilities and great for children....The restaurant is amazing to look at and the food was really great too!!Super friendly and helpful staff in all areas!Would highly recommend...
