Chapter Two Bar and Accommodation in Ryedale

A friendly team . The room was basic for the cost ( for single occupant )without breakfast. However, I appreciate that many places charge a single supplement. The room was very clean ( excellent job Chrissy the housekeeper ). The bed was comfortable with good quality bed linen. Shame there's no evening meal facility and no takeaway allowed in the rooms.

What a great place this is! Very friendly staff and customers.Excellent freshly made toasties are a speciality.Good selection of drinks and at least one real ale. Which was in top form on my visit. Will definitely call in again on my next trip to Malton.

A very warm welcome and great hospitality - The place to go in town…

Really great atmosphere here, you feel at home - think it's due to a lovely light fire, chatty staff & cosy sitting areas - didn't eat anything but will be going back & maybe will try a little something from their tasty looking snack menu.

Called in for a couple of drinks, staff were so friendly and welcoming. Lovely fire going in the Tap room,fabulous.

Nice, friendly cafe bar. Only stopped for coffee but lots of music entertainment advertised

Stayed here for two nights, really comfortable room, thought it might be noisy staying at a pub but wasn’t the case at all as the rooms are off a quiet courtyard at the back. Helpful friendly staff, they even took a parcel delivery for us before we arrived. One minor comment - they could do with cleaning the small amount of black mould in the shower however the water pressure is fantastic 🙂

My wife and I stopped here for lunch today. The food was good and the service was first rate. The staff made us feel really welcome. Outstanding!

Absolutely had the best brew here. Host was very entertaining as was my Mother. Will deffo be bringing her back for some more very entertaining conversation. Thank you for making her day a bit special and funny. Pub is beautiful clean and very very welcoming.Thank you very very much x. The Hull family xx
