El Gringo's in Ryedale

Stumbled across this while looking for a dog friendly restaurant, walked in just after opening time on a Saturday and got seated straight away. The food was gorgeous, the service was brilliant and the price was also very good, will be returning whenever we visit the area!

If you like your Mexican food and plenty of it then El Gringos is the place for you. I love the ribs that are served here, the meat falls off the bone and the BBQ glaze is brilliant. Absolutely well worth dining here.

Ordered takeaway from here and had a fantastic meal. Portion sizes are huge and I have a hearty appetite. The famous nachos could be a meal in their own right and will be eaten throughout the night as we couldn’t finish them. Also had a burrito and the meat feastbtwist which were amazing. Wanted tontrybthe suicidal sauce so asked for a pot of this sauce, they gave me a massive pot but it was delicious and not too hot but very very tasty. Definite give this place a go either by dining in or takeaway.

If you want takeaway ring very early, especially on busy evenings. The food that we collected was excellent, everything was very tasty and all the mains a good size and served with rice, salad and dips.

Quite a small restaurant so it felt a bit squeezed in but once seated it was fine.This place was busy when we visited with all tables filled and it showed - food was a bit slow to turn up and the staff though friendly seemed rushed off their feet.The food was delicious - the blue cheese and mushroom burger was superb. The portion size was OTT - there is no way we could have had/shared starters and/or deserts with our main meals.I'd go back on a quiet night happily.

This was an unplanned visit on our way back home from Flamingo Land but it was a great find. Busy place and we were lucky to get a table, so booking is sensible, but it's perfect for families as the menu covers a lot of options that kids, and adults!, will love.The portion size was very generous and quality was excellent. They clearly have a busy takeaway trade too with the volume of people collecting orders.The decor is inkeeping with the theme and a little rustic. Service was prompt and friendly.Would definitely recommend a visit here.

Nice fresh food with big portions, however the rice and black beans let the meal down. Rice was undercooked and lacking in flavour, and Apart from that, a very nice tasty meal at a good price. Would recommend when in Malton.

Amazing food, good portion size and excellent service.

I was staying near Malton for the week with my parents. My mum had been to El Gringos over ten years ago with my Grandma the result of which she started doing fajitas and more Mexican cooking at home.We got takeaway as my mum is not keen on eating out at the moment.Pictured is the pulled pork quasedilla (comes with the rice and beans) and the loaded nachos (maybe called cow-a-bunga nachos or something like that). If we'd have known how big the portions were my dad and I would've shared a quasedilla!!!!We couldn't eat everything in the one sitting - it was delicous and we think it was very good value.Thanks for a lovely meal El Gringos
