Feathers Hotel in Ryedale

Really great pub / hotel with lots of character and a great beer garden. Would give it 5 stars but our room ( no16) was quite small with no view . But the room its self was nice apart from that

This is a great Hotel , well situated on the Market Square. Very Welcoming, spacious rooms , Good Breakfast and it would have got 5 stars apart from the Event the Hotel had on last night . We were kept awake by thumping music and raised voices and crashing bottles until 1 am in the morning. So my advise would be to check with the Hotel to see if they have any events happening before booking

Had the most delicious Sunday lunch here today. What a feed, yorkshire pudding and roasties to die for. Very pleasant and considerate staff. Highly recommended.

Good service in newly done up part of the restaurant which was nice - waiters lovely.They must have had a busy day as there were hundreds of used glasses piled up on the bar - which made you think this room was more of the leftover room than main part.Some of the food was good - but would expect more for what we paid, and some of the grazing nibbles were quite average. For example, vegan toad in the hole didn’t come with any vegetables - which it maybe said on the menu, but I’d think it’s quite strange for a Sunday dinner menu to have a vegan roast type option that doesn’t come with veg. Fortunately we shared some of others’ veg - but they seemed to think it was strange when I asked for it!Wine good and overall we had a nice time - but a few things to work on!

Myself and my Husband got married here on the 19/12/2021. To say it was an amazing occasion is an understatement. Nothing was too much trouble for Tracey, Kieth and the team and right from the planning stages they made us feel completely at ease and made an exciting but often stressful time feel effortless.On the day itself our guests were treat like royalty and were clearly under the impression we had spent tens of thousands on the big day due to the presentation of the venue and the attentive staff when the reality was much less with the reasonable packages they offer. IWe even had a number of guests recommending the venue to their family and friends who were planning on getting married and also had guests who said they want to stay at The Feathers again at the earliest opportunity.As for us as a couple we will always hold the Feathers close to our hearts (as we also did before our wedding) and will never forget the way we were made to feel by the staff on our special day and the attention to detail which made our day unforgettable.There is nothing we could do to repay the hospitality shown to both us and our guests but we will definitely be back to stay at the Feathers on our anniversary each year and also hopefully in the summer months when the area is beautiful👰🤵‍♂️❤️

A great pub in a beautiful place. Rooms really comfortable with lots of little extras, books, writing paper pillow mist and much more. Staff are so helpful and friendly. We attended a friends 60th surprise birthday party so didn't sample the restaurant but the smell was amazing. (We had a hogg roast). Definitely worth a visit and we will be back😊

We spent two nights at the hotel with out Golden Retriever. The room was small but had everything we needed.Food was excellent and served in a separate dining area as we had the dog with us. Staff were very friendly and looked after us well.

Enjoyed a one night stay in a beautiful superior double room, lovely decor and bed was extremely comfy. Added touches like bathrobe and slippers and high quality toiletries. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was exceptional, my husband and and I are vegan and there was plenty of options to choose from. Enjoyed drinks in the warm cosy bar afterwards which was busy with a friendly atmosphere. Vegan full English was also very tasty at breakfast. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Having been here a few times before we knew what to expect and it certainly didn't fail ... We received a warm welcome from the staff, our room which was room 4 was just perfect over looking the square, dinner and breakfast were delicious and served by staff who were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Fabulous meal today, great food and service, we were really well looked after by Elena and colleagues. It obviously got very busy after we sat down but this did not affect the excellent service. Really good to have a nice relaxing meal, not feeling rushed. Gluten free SFP was a welcome pudding choice!
