Forest And Vale Hotel in Ryedale

We had the Superior room which was a spacious and a lovely room. You would have thought there would have been a small fridge and also dressing gowns for the prices of rooms. The staff was all lovely and very helpful nothing was too much troble. Had a lovely stay would go back .

Very clean and tidy with good parking.Excellent location in the beautiful market town of Pickering - easy access to the town, moors, North Yorkshire Moors Railway and seaside towns of Scarborough and Whitby.Local buses serving Whitby, Scarborough, Kirbymoorside, Malton, York and Leeds.Service at the bar was slow as one member of staff multitasking running bar, food and other duties. Long periods where bar was unattended/unstaffed!!!

Lovely room, comfy bed, food was excellent, couldn't fault the staff, made our visit very welcoming, especially whilst assisting my Son and daughter in law arrange a surprise for us.

A lovely traditional hotel very well decorated and maintained. Meals very tasty and well presented. Staff were all charming friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 10 which was to a high standand

The staff here made our week! Lisa, Max, Harri, Tom and Alan were absolutely brilliant. Really gave that personal touch, nothing was too much trouble. Big shout out to Alan especially, he had a fantastic sense of humour and was serving us drinks, waiting on us and even took our luggage to our room, but they were all fantastic, would definitely go back there! Hotel itself was fabulous and the food was exceptional! The menu had great choice and we weren't disappointed by any of it. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Nice garden but the carpets in the hotel and restaurant looked a bit tired and grubby.The staff were excellent and very friendly.There were no grab handles fitted in the bathroom and I badly bruised my leg trying to get in the bath on the first day.I liked clean white table cloths at every meal.The rooms were supposed to be thoroughly sanitised before our visit yet there was dust and grime on the skirting boards and even black mould around the window frame.We were not greatly impressed upon discovering this.

A real find! The hotel is just lovely! And the garden is so beautiful I couldn't believe we were so lucky. The food in the restaurant is excellent. I wish we had longer I really cannot fault this hotel at all.The staff just add to the excellence. From the receptionist who welcomed us with such a lovely smile to the restaurant staff who just can't do enough for you. They are a true credit to Best Western.
