Fox & Rabbit in Ryedale

I took a ride out to the Fox and Rabbit on the reccommendation of a friend. I arrived at 1pm on a Friday for lunch. The place was busier than I expected. Most of the tables had diners or had reserved markers on them. I asked if they had a table for me half expecting to be told no. The staff had a good look in their book and offered me a table. I had a good idea what I wanted. Steak pie and a pot of tea. Absolutely delicious, very tasty. The building, grounds and location are beautiful. The staff and food, first class. I would definitely recommend but it might be advisable to make a booking.

Excellent food and plenty of it. Driven past this place loads of times, but decided to give it a try. Bank Holiday weekend rang to try and get a table and we're fitted in by Sally (I think). Friendly and welcoming staff, we were shown to our table and the drinks order taken which arrived quickly, same with the food order, although we were told they had a large group in and to bear with them. I had the Seabass fillets off the specials board, my other half had the venison burger, our friends had fish n chips and scampi. The food was freshly cooked and hot when it arrived too. We all had to squeeze a desert in as they all sounded delicious. We will definitely be going again 😁

A great dog friendly pub. The menu isn't vast but what is on it is very good quality and sourced locally. There is a specials board with some good variety on, as well and the staff are very friendly and happy to adapt where possible. I'd recommend booking ahead as it can get busy at peak times even mid-week.

Good food,nice service. Worth a visit

We stopped here for an evening meal and it was fabulous. I had the lambs liver with mash and vegetables and partner had the lamb shank. Both were absolutely delicious. It was so good we have booked to go back again! You won't be disappointed here.

Unassuming but fabulous! Traditional food cooked to perfection with generous servings. Very friendly and we will be back tomorrow. More than a safe option 👍👍

We stopped off for Sunday lunch after a long journey up from Wales. Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful Sunday meals we have ever had. The staff were so polite and friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. Definitely 10 out of 10 in our book. We'll be going again very soon. Outstanding.

This pub was faultless.The staff were proactive, kind, alert, and friendly.The pub interior itself was beautiful and had been meticulously maintained, refurbished, and kept clean (including spotless toilets).The menu was diverse and interesting. One of those moments where we wondered if the food would live up to the menu. It definitely did - and more. To get so much food, so carefully prepared, at such a reasonable price, you would think we’d stumbled back in time.If there’s an award that this pub can be nominated for, then they should.
