Hidden Monkey Tea Room in Ryedale

Stopped over on the way home to Sheffield from the North Yorkshire coast. What a find. Nice food and very friendly staff.

Outstanding food. On my radar now, wonderful place. Dog friendly. Staff superb and go the extra mile, very helpful. Gluten free options available. Cheese scone with Wensleydale and onion marmalade was quite simply out of this world and one of the best I have ever had, and I've eaten a lot of scones, ha ha. So highly recommended. Will definitely be revisiting this establishment as I need to eat my way through their menu and see what other delights are in store. In Malton...? Go to the Hidden Monkey, no brainer. (They have a loyalty card system too, yihaa!)

This cafe is lovely, highly recommend - we had delicious coffee and cake next to a roaring fire. Also really liked the local art and produce for sale

Lovely little place. Visited today for lunch - Would highly recommend the lemon drizzle cake! Staff were friendly and helpful - there are upstairs rooms and one out the back so don’t be put off if the front looks busy!

Went here today with my Mum and Dad. Great location in the heart of Malton town centre with friendly and professional staff and excellent food (I had a ham sandwich and a rocky road cake which were both lovely). Highly recommended!

A nice clean cafe, friendly service.

Great breakfast, lots of seating both upstairs and outside. Reasonably priced with refills of filter coffee for those like me who need a little extra caffeine. Good staff who are friendly and happy.

What a lovely place. The lady who served us couldn't do enough. We had tea and cakes and couldn't fault it. The carrot cake was great. Everywhere was very clean. Would go again.

Traditional tea shop in malton ,good choice of food & drinks ,2poached eggs on 2 thin slices of toast were nice but bit steep in price for what you get @£5.45p ,cinnamon toast with a flat white coffee was very nice !

Lovely place to eat. Great homemade food and friendly staff. Would recommend a visit to try yourself.
