India the Restaurant in Ryedale

I'm not a huge fan of Indian food and so don't be surprised that I ordered a tikka korma.... But I can safely say it was the best indian I have ever had. The egg fried rice was so clearly freshly made and authentic! The garlic naan we ordered was beautiful. It was a brilliant experience. I definitely recommend. 👌

Food OK, as was service, just not particularly memorable, especially at the higher end of the price scale. Nice interior design, though. We were sat next to a table of men, the eldest of which was trying really hard to break the world record for the number of times the f word could be used in every sentence he spoke. That's what I'll remember most about the restaurant, not the food.

Always great food, beautiful decor, good atmosphere, great service.Been using this restaurant for years now and never had a bad meal or experience.

Sadly this was the first time I have been disappointed with service here. The waitress/front of house girl who initially served me was surly and uncommunicative. She only brightened up when a male she obviously knew came into the restaurant to collect his order. No one actually told me “ your order is on its way/ it will be 10 minutes/ sorry there is a little wait.When I got home with the food I also had two dishes missing from the order I had rung in. The restaurant was far from full and I overheard the staff saying their had been some late cancellations. So no excuses.

The food in India Malton is excellent quality. The decor is very nice and the lighting makes the place very relaxing. The staff are friendly and helpful. They also do take-away food but would be great if more discount was offered on take-away. There is also no delivery service, we would use India more if they did local delivery. Tip: have the family nan, they're huge and can be shared among 4 people.

My wife and I have ordered from this restaurant as takeaway only so far. The food is excellent. It is cooked beautifully, the right amount of spices, the presentation for a takeaway meal is simply the best ever.Once this whole Covid thing is over we intend visiting the restaurant for a meal and would anticipate being regular dinners as it looks quite stunning inside.The staff are very courteous and always have a smile. You’re never left waiting for long before collection.All round excellent.

The best Indian I have ever had! Never ever fails to produce anything but fantastic food! We as a family have ate here for years and have never had a disappointing meal! Staff are equally amazing, all very friendly, polite and helpful! 🙌🏼

We normally eat in but last night we offered a takeaway and collected it. Not great ended up waiting so long the food was cold and the keynann had no meat in it. Shame really was a let down compared to our other expenses.
