Food fantastic as always but got quite expensive

Great atmosphere, large portions of delicious food, get there early or book ahead to avoid disappointment, minted lamb chops, gorgeous

What a lovely meal we had at lunchtime today it was beautiful, hot tasty and no hard vegetables. Nothing was to much for the staff, they treated us so well. It was my friends birthday and they were so kind to her. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Fantastic food, massive menu, great beer, friendly staff... what more could you want

Nice pub, beautiful location. Food okay. Disappointed to not have an option with steak pie. We were all given chips and standard peas/carrots combo. Portions were good but food was standard.

This is a great pub with a decent selection of beers and a nice warm fire. It has a long history. It also does great food and the staff are very welcoming. It isn't gourmet or pretentious but if you are hungry and need a hot meal (they also do sandwiches) then it is fine and should satisfy most appetites. The views are fantastic unless you are a tree lover and there are some great walks nearby. Watch out for the weather though it can be lovely or challenging. Well worth a trip up there.

Poor service. Waited an hour for Sunday dinner. Meat over cooked and dry. Tiny portion of 2 veg which were tasteless and watery. Luke warm. Over priced for the quality and quantity.

Lovely deserts, friendly staff and polite, excellent location. The only thing I didn't like was the stickiness of the table. Was clean but, a bit sticky. The toilets were impeccable.We'll stop again.Thank you for the extra biscuits !!!

Staff were pleasant but sadly coffee and food were not very warm and chips dry. We were given replacement coffee but sadly it was the same. Disappotingly we were not offered any discount on the food. We will not revisit as the experience was definitely not value for money.

Burger wasn't very nice, lemonade was flat and tasteless, it was also like that last time I visited. Chips are lovely parmos are good. Nice warm feeling.
