Mount Hotel, German Restaurant and Bar in Ryedale

Stayed here for overnight work, fantastic staff, very clean and welcoming.Room: Room was really nice, bed was extremely compfy, for once in my life I have no complaints.Well, I could of done with a bigger cup for hot chocolate which was provided but I managed.Food is fantastic, price is reasonable, and you get a big portion for what you buy.Breakfast was great too.If I'm ever up this way again, I'd most likely stay here again.

Good breakfast and the steak I had for tea was average the service in a morning was second to none nice staff we were well looked after

Nice old hotel on the edge of town. Good parking at the front of the building. No lift due to the age of the hotel.

This is my second stay at the Mount. I plan to go back next year. Good location, welcoming staff, cracking breakfast it does everything I want

Just had a 3 day break at The Mount with friends.Lovely ,clean,comfortable rooms and the staff were absolutely lovely.Nothing was too much trouble for any of them .Lovely ,well presented food too.Keep up the great work .Thank you for a great stay .

The room (room 1) was excellent, with a newly refurbished walk in shower. It has 3 windows and the views were fabulous.Each and every member of staff were really friendly, and worked hard to make you feel welcome. The town of Malton was only a few minutes walk away, and the railway station was very handy, if you fancied a day in York. We ate in the restaurant and the steak was to die for. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to get away for a few days rest, in lovely surroundings with fantastic views. Thank you for a lovely 3 night break.

Walked through the bar and three people had welcomed us with a ‘hello’ before we even reached the bar. Found a table for food then came the service! The service from the girls was fantastic (no name tags I don’t think so not sure all names) but they were all fantastic! Menu was excellent and we ordered all three starters! The Duck spring rolls were outstanding and following this the steak pie and Moroccan lamb were very nice! Reasonably priced with a great red wine...really lovely place with outstanding staff and very good food

Visited mid week for a staff member leaving meal. The steak and Ale pie with chip's and side served vegetables was delicious. Tasty pastry with tender beef filled to the top of the pie with fried chips and a little shot of ale in a glass. Enjoyed by all of my colleagues. Highly recommended. Staff very pleasant and welcoming. Would definitely visit again.
