Only had the cream tea but was good. Saw other meals going to other tables and they looked lovely. Good portions nicely presented. Staff were superb as usual for Yorkshire people.Only reason not 5 star cafe a bit on the small side and they had to turn people away.

Good selection of food, drinks and cake! Lovely location and lovely staff. The perfect tearooms.

What a find! A lovely little tea room serving a great range of home cooked food. I had a seemingly endless pot of Yorkshire tea with a fruitcake and Wensleydale cheese (I know - apparently it's a local thing!) My wife went for a lovely latte and cheese scone. Super. All rounded off with luscious ice creams and friendly staff who were not to blame for the thunderstorms that soaked us on our way back to the car!

Decided to share a sarnie after huge brekkie at B&B and thought £8 was pricey....until we saw size of it!!! See photo. More than enough and ham was lovely and thick. Pot of tea for 2 and obligatory muffin. Clean, fab staff and really tasty

A super place for lunch My Wife Marian and I elected to have the Scampi and chips with a pot of tea. Excellent friendly and prompt service. The food was and presentation were top class, completely fresh as was the excellent salad which accompanied our meals. Well done to all concerned we will be back to see you in the not too distant future.😉ps an excellent cuppa rosy lea too!🙂

We enjoyed the organised and friendly welcome at the Beck Tearooms. We'd been elsewhere in the Town and ended up walking out as we didn't know what the restrictions were and no staff to guide us. As soon as we arrived at the Beck Tearooms we felt relaxed, lovely toastie, fabulous cream tea, scones were delicious and the coffee was lovely, strong and hot. Great service too.

We arrived today in happy jolly mood sat down at a dirty table asked to clean owner was nasty and condescending we asked about lunch horrible owner was in a foul mood and proceeded to say if you read the menu properly you would know. At this point everyone was upset when complaining about it she said get out and go back to where you came from. This lady clearly likes locals only and was very upsetting the place was empty clearly she upsets people as everywhere else was busyI would also like to thank the waitress as she was lovely and friendly the owner was rude arrogant nasty and made the waitress visibly uncomfortable******DO NOT USE THIS PLACE ITS ALSO MORE EXPENSIVE THAN LOCAL PUB FOOD AS WE FOUND OUT***

Our normal cafe was closed today so tried here. Pretty disappointed, not a very warm welcome probably the worst latte I've ever had! Cheese scone was good tho..

My family and I enjoyed a very good meal here. The gammon steak was excellent, and my wife and daughter spoke very highly of the steak pie.All in all, a very comfortable environment for a filling meal. There's a wide variety of homemade puddings, including a several gluten free options.
