The Blacksmiths Hartoft in Ryedale

They were extremely busy, but were still able to accommodate us. The food was fantastic. My son had gammon, which was huge and very juicy. My husband had venison, which he said was delicious. I had the chef's seafood salad, which was beautifully served, and was lovely, even the actual salad part of the dish was good too. I stole a few of my son's chips, and they were yummy.I really loved the decor, especially all the flat caps hanging from the ceiling.We also bought some local marmalade and strawberry jam.

Fantastic pub. Food simply amazing. We had the lamb shank, venison and pie. All perfect. The kids meals were great too. As is the ale and the service! Love this place

Beautiful little pub.Food was lovely, very big portions. I had venison casserole, beautiful taste but a little on the dry side. Steak was cooked to perfection, lamb shank melted in the mouth, my eldest had a burger and said it was really tasty and very filling. My children meals were polished off. Big win from the youngest.Staff are friendly and very helpful. Thank you for coming to our need with butter and milk. Very much appreciated.I highly recommend The Blacksmith's Arms in the idyllic village of Lastingham.Thank you for having us.

What.a.delight.I visited this pub after a lovely afternoon walk for some lunch.From the moment you enter this pub it will sweep you off your feet; an open fire, a range of great beer and ales and a delightful wine rack are sights that will greet you on arrival.The staff were welcoming and friendly.The menu was extensive, catering for all needs. The portion sizes were amazing and gave us the hearty meal we wanted following a walk on the moors (we probably ate too much if anything!)I would highly recommend this venue. A totally relaxing experience with delicious food. 10/10

Just had a two night stay at Blacksmiths Arms. The newly refurbished bedrooms have been superbly fitted out. Food, as usual is excellent. We will be back.

Excellent village pub with homely, authentic atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff. Really good locally sourced food. Parking a bit limited but, other than that, no issues at all. Highly recommended.

A pub with a very warm welcome.Staff very efficient.I had the pan fried prawns with sun dried tomatoes abit of a let down lexpected it to be sizzling.The main meal l had the chefs seafood salad which l could not fault well put together very tasty l would highly recommend.I did not have a dessert but what l saw looked absolutely lovely.
