We've visited in March on Mother's Day. It was one of the worst experiences in my entire life. The pictures were very misleading/they must have a very good photographer. Children's play area was falling apart and completely unsafe for both of our kids (2 and 9 year olds). Service was shocking! After queueing for around 20 minutes to get some coffees and ice creams we were told that the ice creams weren't sold there but in the shed on the other side of the path. We got the cofffees to the table and waited in the queue to get children their promised icecreams. Once they've started eating them we were told we couldn't pay for them there as they've had some issues but had to rejoin the 20 minute queue again. Once my partner paid his coffee was already cold and the ice cream has melted. We both got up to check on kids and left our belongings and coffees on the table and once we came back after about 2 minutes the coffees were gone. I've asked the lady and she said they were already empty and Ince I've pointed out they were half full she came and pretty much threw them at the table saying oh well they've only been on that tray for a bit. I've never ever experienced this sort of service/attitude in my life. We will not be returning and I'll be actively asking people not to go as it's a waste of time and money.

I came here today for the first time with my family I have heard about it before so decided to give it a try. What a nice, friendly atmosphere it has. The gentleman was on his own working and it started get a little busy but what a wonderful view there is to admire whilst waiting for freshly cooked food. I would highly recommend to anyone. Many thanks and we will be back soon.

We stopped here for a hot beef sandwich. The bread bun was long and soft but it was virtually missing the beef!! One little round slice of beef and horrible cheap margarine. £5 for each sandwich was extortionate….the pub along the road was so much better.

Lovely welcome pot of tea and a bacon roll!! In the garden! Plenty of room outside and small cafe inside, can highly recommend it!

·

A lovely end to the daffodil walk. A good range of light food & snacks. Toilets, kids playground & wifi all free.

·

Fantastic walk to the cafe. Limited food choices but very reasonably priced.

We visited today after doing the Daffodil walk, there were no menus out on the tables and you had to queue to see what was on offer, this is a little awkward when you have a disabled old person and 5 dogs with you. Some menus on the table would be helpful! The staff were completely inexperienced and didn't know what they were doing. When we finally got in to order, you could see one of the girls washing up, the water was the dirtiest water I've seen, this put me off straight away.We ordered some scones which were dry and tasted stale, there was also a cup of tea missing from our order. We won't return here next time, we will go further down the road to the pub for lunch.

A nice outdoor seating area with good selection of cakes and food. Quite tight for queuing/ordering but the tea is served in a proper mug!

Stopped off for a lovely plowman lunch the other week. Great setting and owner was so friendly. Also loved meeting Cilla the dog.

Possibly the most picturesque setting for afternoon tea - the Daffy Caffè is a most refreshing stop, midway through one of North Yorkshire's truly pretty walks. Highly recommended 👌
