What a great little pub this is, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was amazing, we both had the cajun chicken burger and loved it . Would definitely recommend this pub to anyone.

Gorgeous little pub, coal fire lit, warm pub, warm friendly atmosphere. The food is amazing, got to say so tasty and HUGE portions. My husband had the Yorkshire burger and I had the Cajun Chicken burger, both with individual little pots of accompanying sauces. Would recommend and we will most certainly be back when we are in this neck of the woods again. Thank you for the friendly service and welcoming atmosphere.

Visited whilst in the nearby area on holiday and needed somewhere which did decent veggie options. So glad we found this place. Service from booking through to leaving was excellent - very friendly staff. Also put a little something together for our one year old to help settle her. Food quality was top notch and really tasty. Unlikely to be in the are again so sadly probably won't ever return but if you are then don't hesitate.

Great pub. Friendly service, good selection of drinks and the good was great, really good quality home made and at a really good price. We were a party of 6 adults, 2 kids and 4 dogs. We were all impressed and will be going back again.

Called in on a Sunday afternoon after a trip to Filey. Lovely Sunday lunch, great Yorkshire Puddings. Good hand pulled ales, perfect service, and very dog friendly.

Absolutely fantastic Sunday lunch served here. Good selection of ales on the bar. Staff attentive and very friendly. All very reasonably priced and certainly worth it. Will be returning when next in the area.

This is a perfectly preserved inn in a lovely, peaceful village (I expected to see Miss Marple cycle past!) just off the traffic nightmare known as the A64! Wonderful welcome, very dog friendly and fabulous food and service. I can heartily recommend the salt ‘n’ pepper chicken and the steak pie!!!

We booked in for Sunday lunch on our way back home from a trip to Cayton Bay. This is a really nice country pub with a lovely beer garden. The weather was good so we sat outside. Service and food were both excellent.
