Well... what can I say!! My hubby and i visited here tonight for tea with our cocker spaniel Neville. A fantastic dog friendly pub serving amazing food by the friendliest staff I have met for a long time. Nev was super spoilt as were we. Left absolutely stuffed and had to go back and put my pyjamas on so I had more room. Well done to the Grapes Inn. Great job all round and when we come back to the area we will definitely come again!

Nice little pub. Friendly service. Battered calamari was very crispy. Both the venison and beef burger were cooked perfectly served with onion rings, chips, coleslaw and salad. We were too full for dessert.

Went here today for a meal while visiting the area. Spotted the dog friendly sign from the main road so in we went. Fabulous welcome from the host with dog treats for our 2. Had lovely food. Halloumi starter for both of us, scampi for me with the most amazing chips, chilli for the hubby, then a hot waffle with salted caramel ice cream for me and key lime pie for him. All of the food was superb. The owner could not have been nicer, we will definitely visit again when we are next in the area.

First visit to The Grapes and we weren’t disappointed. Lovely warm welcome from the landlord. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was terrific!! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend The Grapes to anyone looking for a good quality country inn 😀

Fabulous welcome for our five dogs who all sat under the table thank you, wonderful food I had fish and chips the batter on the fish melted in your mouth. Lovely friendly staff will definitely revisit if we are ever in the area again.

Amazing staff, local pub it seems although the staff and locals all know each other, dog friendly is always a plus, let me get to the fooood I had no starter but I did have a rump steak it was a medium rare cook and it was as good as I could have hoped, the chips were well they are more like roast potoatos. They are not traditional chips but they were still gorgeous all in all no complaints and if I’m not complains then it must be good would reccomend 10/10 for prices and service the staff were friendly and were over run and overworked and despite this they still managed to serve us perfectly

Popped in on the off chance of getting a table for an evening meal. The bar staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, bringing a bowl of water for our dog. We both ordered starters, which were plentiful, hot & of good quality, both had the Pie of the day (Game) served with chips & veg, which again was plentiful, hot & of good quality. Would definitely recommend & pre book as was busy.

Desperate for a breakfast that was much too late even to be called lunch, my starving wife and I swerved off the A170 on the strength of an 'open' sign that also proclaimed it was dog friendly. We only had a short time in which to refuel, about 30 minutes, and the lovely young lady there rose to the challenge. Our fish goujons sandwich was cooked to perfection, hot, and most of all swiftly served. Thank you!
