Good food,nice service. Worth a visit

A great dog friendly pub. The menu isn't vast but what is on it is very good quality and sourced locally. There is a specials board with some good variety on, as well and the staff are very friendly and happy to adapt where possible. I'd recommend booking ahead as it can get busy at peak times even mid-week.

We stopped here for an evening meal and it was fabulous. I had the lambs liver with mash and vegetables and partner had the lamb shank. Both were absolutely delicious. It was so good we have booked to go back again! You won't be disappointed here.

Unassuming but fabulous! Traditional food cooked to perfection with generous servings. Very friendly and we will be back tomorrow. More than a safe option 👍👍

The staff were amazing and funny. After hiking around the area, we just wanted to stop, have something warm and easy and they were very accomodating. We'd love to have taken more time and sample the food more but the staff were superb. Definitely a nice place to retry someday soon.

We stopped off for Sunday lunch after a long journey up from Wales. Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful Sunday meals we have ever had. The staff were so polite and friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. Definitely 10 out of 10 in our book. We'll be going again very soon. Outstanding.

We have had such a lovely meal. Two adults, two kids....food was excellent and the staff friendly and easy to talk to. We only live a few miles away, but will certainly be back when we want good freshly cooked quality food. Was a pleasure to spend my partners birthday there tonight. Can't believe we've not visited sooner. Great place 👌

This pub was faultless.The staff were proactive, kind, alert, and friendly.The pub interior itself was beautiful and had been meticulously maintained, refurbished, and kept clean (including spotless toilets).The menu was diverse and interesting. One of those moments where we wondered if the food would live up to the menu. It definitely did - and more. To get so much food, so carefully prepared, at such a reasonable price, you would think we’d stumbled back in time.If there’s an award that this pub can be nominated for, then they should.
