Had both a drink & food visit over 3 days in the area & as a dog friendly pub I could not fault it. The staff were friendly & welcoming, cost of drinks were as expected. Food visit was on a Sunday which meant no tables inside available as hadn't booked but as weather was OK we sat outside, food was plentiful, hot, good quality & reasonable

Good food and excellent variety of choice. Great real aie, no real cider. Historic pub that allows dogs in the bar.

Went in yesterday when the chef was serving at the bar. Incredibly rude guy, absolutely dire personality. Enough to put anyone off. Very stale atmosphere. Left and went elsewhere. Who needs that?!

Nice, but noisy until after midnight from patrons at the bar downstairs

Cosy pub which is easily accessible by bus. Did not have a suitable beer on for our taste but do stock real ales. Hoped to eat there but did not start meals until tea time which was too late for us this time.will try another day.
