I booked this place for our anniversary 2 months in advance for a table for a space of 7.30 - 9pm so expecting that to be food. Upon arrival, we were placed in a corner tiny table right near the kitchen bar and speakers and weren’t given any menus. I asked the waitress if we had to order through the scan and order sticker on the table and was then told they were no longer serving food at that time. I ended up ringing a restaurant nearby and luckily getting a table as we were wanting food. I also had a gin and lemonade which was 80% ice so just tasted of lemonade as the gin was watered down by the ice. Really disappointed as this was booked for months.

Bottomless brunch here on a Saturday, busy but still got served drinks as soon as we ran out so very attentive and the food was great! Our main server Jess (shout out to Michael also, very attentive and friendly) was very polite and friendly and again attentive! Would 100% recommend!

Went to the Potting Shed yesterday. Went to the toilets first. Absolutely shocking! No toilet roll in the holders, mostly because it was all over the floor! Toilets unhygienic and unpleasant. Went to go for drink the bar was filthy, sticky, straws strewn all over and it wasn't exactly busy that these issue's could not have been addressed! Didn't stop for a drink, walked straight back out! Not good!

On Saturday friends and I visited the potting shed to enjoy the sun in the outdoor area, it was very busy but the service was excellent!! I’d like to give a special mention to Roxanne who really went above and beyond enabling us to have a fabulous time.. thank you so much!! The cocktails are lovely and the duck pizza was sooooooo good. Highly recommended, we will be back.

Went as a group of 9 with a table booked yesterday - to start on a positive, I did really enjoy the burger I had and the staff were friendly. But good lord the waiting, and waiting and waiting. Got in at 14:00, waited about 10 minutes to be seen by anyone to get the table we booked. A further 10 minutes of waiting for someone taking orders (we were unsure if it was order at bar or at table). We asked a staff member next how we ordered, and she said she'd send someone over to us, 10 minutes after this there was still no one, so a few of us went to the bar to order and hopefully speed things up. 10 minutes later again the rest of us had all decided it was clear no one was coming to take orders, so we went to the bar. Whilst queuing for the bar, a staff member told us she would take orders at the table now, which we did. Everyone had one course and a beer, ordered 30 minutes after being in. All of the food and drinks came at completely different times for everyone on the table - not a couple of minutes but more like 20 minutes difference. Some people had their food and drink come at 14:35, some people didn't even have anything by 15:05. I had my main course come around 14:50 and then my drink came at 15:05 after I'd already finished the food? One person ordered a pizza which came last, after everyone else had totally finished and was ready to go. When we questioned bits, a male staff member told us it was because we'd all ordered at different times? Not exactly our fault when there was no indication of how to order, no one coming to take orders, slow bar service anyway and an app that wasn't working for all 9 of us.It wasn't a totally unpleasant experience, staff were nice and the food and beer were honestly pretty good. But it had a few of us on the edge of walking out when we'd not even been seen in the first 30 minutes, although we couldn't leave when some of us had managed to order and were eating and others basically didn't exist ...

Fabulous food. Bit of a wait, as they were busy, but worth it. Staff cheerful and friendly despite being rushed. Yorkshire Black and blue burger fabulous and great bargain deal at lunch time

Me and my now husband celebrated wedding at The Potting Shed at Northallerton in one of their private rooms. All their provided service was absolutely fantastic which made our day to go smoothly. We had a great staff taking cake about our drinks, bringing and taking off the plates, cakes, water.... and making sure that everything was running as smoothly as possible. For 30 invited people we had 3 waitresses who made sure that no one waited for their drink a long time. These people were manager Sammy, who helped us organize everything and ensure that we can enjoy our special day without worrying about details, and 2 great waitresses Sophie and Olivia. As each of our guests pre-ordered something else to eat it must have been very difficult to prepare everything at once. so a massive thank you goes to the 2 chefs preparing our dinner, those chefs are Ste and Marius. Me and my husband enjoyed our very special day very much.
