The Stapylton Arms in Ryedale

We recently visited the Stapylton Arms,to cellerbrate our 52second anniversary,we live in Dorset and had the most fantastic meal,the staff and the whole atmosphere with superb reasonably well price was well worth my rating of 5 stars,to say the Lamb Rump was the best piece of lamb I ever hadWill come again when we visit our Friends in Haxby,they went again last Sat night to celebrate their anniversary and the meal was spot o again,well done to all the staff etc

The most amazing food. Had pate starter and it was lovely. Full of flavour. The had beef dinner. So tender the beef was. Just enough to fill you but not overfill you. Lovely staff, all very friendly and attentive. Thanks for a lovely lunch

What a find!! Wonderful place and can’t recommend highly enough. Food was excellent, quick service, friendly and attentive staff, lovely atmosphere…..just perfect for a Sunday lunch. Not local but will definitely be back.

What a fabulous pub.Very clean and welcoming.Olde worlde.Meals looked fabulous.As a walking group we just had drinks, but the meals (Sunday lunch) looked just like mother made.If I lived nearer I'd definitely be a regular.

Absoulty fabulous I was there for my birthday supper and the staff were brilliant the food just to die for beautiful inside and the locals made you feel welcome ...will be back thankyou .

I went with friends for lunch on Easter Sunday. We got a lovely welcome, excellent food, table service was next none and the whole experience was a delight. I have just moved to this area and this will definitely be a regular place to eat. Excellent customer service and recommend!

Went with a large group. We had ordered the meals in advance. Everyone enjoyed everything. Food and service are both excellent and really good value.

A regular local haunt for us - consistently good quality and value. We know that if we take visitors or friends here we'll have a good time. Our last visit was for my wife's birthday plus our son visiting from the Netherlands, and it was as good as ever. I'm sure it'll be mentioned elsewhere but the Scampi is recommended by James Martin. Apparently this is his mum's favourite place and dish - and it is indeed very good, more of a tempura batter than usual, so quite light and doesn't overpower the shellfish. For this visit I had Pork in a gorgeous cream and blue cheese sauce which didn't disappoint followed by their take on a Lemon meringue which was lovely too. Yum. No doubt we'll be back soon.

There for Sunday lunch which was excellent, all meats £15.95. A couple of lovely pints of Gold brewed in Helmsley. A friendly North Yorkshire pub where you can enjoy fine food.

We were welcomed by Robert to the hotel. We found clean rooms which were well presented. We stayed twice for Evening meals. The staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food is very very good.
