1881 at Wrea Head Hall in Scarborough

What an excellent hotel. Such a beautiful country house hotel, we were upgraded to the newly renovated carriage house room. Which was stunning. The room had a feature bath and top of the range power shower, it was spotless, the interior of the space is periodically styled to suit the main house with panelled walls and yet is modern and light.The service was also exceptional we were presented with cream tea on arrival and we’re lucky enough to be able to sit in the garden.We then drove to the north bay for a walk along the beach and some pub grub… all delicious and came highly recommended.The dinner was exceptional and can only be described as a true fine dining experience.The catering team had great gluten free alternatives.If you are looking for a place to escape and recharge I would highly recommend Wrea Head Hall and it’s only planned to improve with new swimming pool facilities and a restaurant on the horizon.A special thank you to Mathew, Kevin and all the team that made our stay extra special.

Spent two nights at this lovely hotel. The main building is beautifully decorated throughout, the food was excellent, and all the staff very friendly and helpful. Our room in the adjacent carriage house was spacious, with lots of storage space, a comfortable bed and a great shower. We were blessed with good weather and spent relaxing time in the conservatory and lovely big gardens. Highly recommend.

We have just returned from an Easter break to Wrea Head Hall Hotel - the first time we've been and it won't be the last. Beautiful hotel, amazing staff who go out of their way to make sure their guests are looked after. Our food was fantastic - compliments to the chef. A nice little touch was the Easter egg left in our rooms

Have stayed here on a few occasions and always enjoyed our stay. It seems to improve on every visit. The food is excellent and the rooms very comfortable and spacious. We were celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary and couldn't have chosen a better hotel. Will be coming again in the Autumn.

A fabulous Country House Hotel and one of the best I have stayed at. The food is superb and the staff friendly and helpful. In particular, Kevin, the Hotel Manager is brilliant. Highly recommended!

Stunning building in incredible grounds. Prices are very reasonable especially when considering that breakfast was included.Rooms are modest, but the beds was very good as was the bathroom.My main criticisms would be that the venue is high class, and therefore attracts a certain crowd. I also found that they could improve their customer service skills for some staff.Complaint. Couldn't check in so asked if we could do our bags off. I brought them into reception, offered to take them round to their office, and got told to leave them next to the front door, where they'd be watched. Returned to the hotel 6 hours later, dining areas and bar now full of guests, all our luggage still next to the front door, unattended.

Really great weekend away. The hotel was clean and well set out. The staff were really efficient and friendly. The food and service for the Dinner and Breakfast was good quality and perfect. There was good safe parking and the opportunity for long private walks.

Superb stay,, attention to detail in every aspect of service Food absolutely fabulous the grounds spectacular. Room wonderful the whole stay brilliant. For a peaceful get away a must. A gem hidden away. We'll worth a visit.

The hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful! The staff are the friendliest I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting and nothing is too much trouble! They make your stay exceptional and the food and drink is of the highest quality you could ask for! It’s definitely a place we will be going back to again and again! This was our 2nd stay here and it’s worth every penny! It’s great if you’re also looking out for wildlife as it just walks around the property at its own leisure! It’s the best hotel we’ve stayed in and at Christmas it’s like a magical place to stay! Thank you for making us feel so at home you’re amazing!! ❤️

Stayed for 2 nights firstly in room 4 (Ellis suite), second night in room 1 (Luxury). Both rooms fantastic and spacious with lovely views. Very clean. Food was excellent both dinner and breakfast. Staff discreet, friendly and professional especially Kevin, the manager who organised a special request on my behalf. Compliments to the chef who apart from excellent food carried out my request to perfection. Just a great stay all round and definitely looking forward to a return visit. A great team made to make you welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Overall a really relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff.
