Can't fault the food or the service. Here on holiday and was itching to try Al Taco. We had a slight wait for collection but I wasn't bothered and lady gave us larger portions as an apology and she wasn't lying. Chicken burrito was amazing with the firm rice which is what I like in a burrito. Fresh salsa and lots of flavour. Would recommend! 🌯

Really lovely quaint restaurant. Owners were super friendly, felt like you were in someone's home. You could see them cook. Great food. I had the veggie quesadillas (which was onion and peppers with sauce and cheese, and sour cream). It was really lovely. Nicely spiced and cooled with the sour cream. Hubby was happy with his food too. They've also got a take out window which is slightly cheaper and still good service. Really quite impressed.

This place is perfect... for a fussy pregnant lady on her baby moon I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat,we finally chose here as didn't fancy fish and chips and we was not disappointed. We both ordered chicken fajitas and wow the portion size is huge and everything was fantastic , the other half eats a lot and he finished mine off , all sides was homemade and even the homemade hot sauce went down well with the other half. Nothing to complain about and recommended to anyone who visits whitby and wants something different. We eat in and the place was clean, and you can see them cooking which is nice. 💗🤰 thanks so much x

An amazing little restaurant in the centre of Whitby. Huge portions and a very reasonable price. Me and my wife had pulled beef burritos and pulled chicken nachos. Both of which were full of flavour with plenty of meat. The service was also second to none. The staff were working incredibly hard just to keep up with the busy restaurant, their smiles never faltering. I would recommend Al Taco to anyone staying in Whitby.

Was looking for somewhere that didn't do fish and chips as there main option, and this was perfect. Portions are generous which is great for me, I had the burrito while the other half had the 3 tacos, the burrito was I by far the best I have tried, very moist pork. We had the loaded potato skins as well which was really good also. Left stuffed, thank you very much 😊 🙏

Small eat-in section. We booked. Mexican food not really my bag but my partner fancied it. Having said that I enjoyed what I had as did my partner. Portions are really big. BYOB. Service friendly. Would return.

Way overpriced and undercooked. i got a beef taco and a chicken taco and some chips and the chicken was undercooked and the chips looked raw. Avoid at all costs. Complained and got spoken to rudely and just told 'thats how people around hear like there tacos, everyone likes them.'

Visited in May and had a takeaway burrito and it was amazing! Came tonight and sat inside (you need to pre-book to guarantee a table). Started with the nachos to share and they are the best nachos all 3 of us had ever had! Had a pulled pork burrito which was beyond amazing! Ordered cheesy chips but was so full, asked if they could be taken away. The lovely women added extra cheese for when I reheat at home! Just a lovely experience and great food!! Thank you!!!

A hidden gem! Lovely street-style food served by some of the nicest people you'd hope to meet. Good size portions and competitive prices, all served with a homemade chilli sauce that satisfied even our naga-chilli obsessed dinner companion (maybe a little hot for me but still tasty!) Obviously most people come to Whitby for the fish and chips but if you fancy a change put this place top of your list.
