First and last time here (for ice cream). Found it so strange to be served my cone from someone without any sort of gloves on (or at least hand-gel before serving)...particularly strange after a 2 year pandemic. This meant I only got to eat the actual ice cream, which was lovely. Anyway, hopefully this review will make a difference and hygiene be stepped up.

This was our second visit to Beacon Farm campsite. The site is family friendly, and both times we stayed, the 'no noise' after certain times were adhered to (apart from the cows in neighbouring fields which kept us awake one night!!). Tents can pitch anywhere. Beautiful views over towards Whitby and the sea when the sun sets. The toilet facilities are basic but adequate and clean, plus there's some more 'outdoors' ones near the pot cleaning area. It's quite a long walk to the toilet blocks. Kids love the ice cream shop/cafe with the plethora of ice cream flavours available, and they loved the play park which seems a very sociable area for children to make new friends and have fun.Last time we visited, we walked into Whitby with the kids. It was a long walk but quite enjoyable. There's a pub next door but we're still yet to visit. Fire pits and logs available for hire.We will be back again.

Superb campsite. Family friendly. Good distance to Whitby & Robin Hood's Bay. Great playground for the kids, interactive nature trail. Loads of room for playing. Fires allowed in fire pits. Great ice cream shop is a bonus.

First time camping here and we love it. Friendly staff and clean areas. Ice cream parlour and tea rooms are a added bonus. Never seen the kids as to busy at the park.

Lovely little hidden gem right on our own doorstep! Ice cream and Coffee where fantastic and then to top it off you have one of the most detailed nature walks going. Fantastic for the kids.

Such a lovely place, we visited for the first time last year and loved it. We are back in the area this week so we returned for lunch and ice cream today - the food and service was great. Afterwards, my daughter loved the play area, goats and especially the nature trail! Thank you for a brilliant afternoon.

Me and my husband and three children visited the ice cream parlour a couple of weeks ago on our way to the coast. What a lovely little spot! Nice little play area for the kids, and there’s even a couple of inquisitive goats to keep the kids amused for ten minutes. Gorgeous ice cream… I tried the coconut one this time (have tried many flavours while staying in Whitby in the past) and oh my!!!! I have been craving it ever since. Would be interested to know if I could purchase/order it in a tub it is THAT GOOD! Would definitely recommend popping in if you’re passing that way for an ice cream! Delicious!!

We've had an 11 night stay here (touring caravan) and would definitely recommend the site. It's a quiet place with lovely views across to Whitby in the distance (10 minutes drive away). The staff are very welcoming and friendly + the ice cream made on site is gorgeous. They also do cooked meals, although we didn't sample those. We will booking here again, no question. 😁

Camping here for the week… quite honestly could stay longer. Ideally located to explore this part of Yorkshire with days out planned all the week. The site is extremely clean & tidy, with good facilities and the friendly staff are very helpful. Beacon Farm retains a genuine Yorkshire farming welcome and provides spacious pitches with fantastic views over toward Whitby & the coast. Plenty to do here : nature trial, children’s play area, cafe, ice cream parlour, local walks and the pub next door is handy too. Overall a great place to stay.

We had a wonderful time camping here for 2 nights in early July. It's a lovely little site with plenty of room for pitches and a great play area to keep the kids entertained. The facilities are close by, well equipped and clean. On the site they have a great nature trail which is well worth a walk down to as they've put a great deal of effort into making it interesting. The ice cream parlour and tea rooms are the best features of this site though, the ice cream is superb. We'll certainly be back.
