Just the best little pub in North Yorkshire, Fantastic friendly owners, the best Corn beef stoties and pork pies, a cracking pint of black sheep and other ales all in a beautiful location. Can't wait to be back at New year.

Absolutely brilliant enjoyed my pint there

Quirky little pub in the middle of the village. Enjoyed a cheeky beer on the walk back to Goathland from Grosmont

This is a very old very quaint pub in a lovely village. The landlady was very pleasant and hospitable. We had walked from Grosmont to Beck Hole and being able to have a drink and sit down before the return walk was well received! Attached to the pub is a sweet shop with lots of old favourites!

This is a fantastic pub and well worth a visit. As others have said, it is very quaint inside and full of character. We have visited in summer and winter. In summer you can relax outside and feed the variety of birds that land right next to you and in winter you can sit in front of the lovely fire. The beers are excellent and also the range of snacks. We highly recommend parking at Grosmont, taking the lovely walk to here and having a beer then continuing up to Goathland and catching the steam train back to Grosmont.

This inn is full of Character and well worth the visit. There's a small outside area with tables up a short flight of steps and the area next to the lovely stream. Its a great place to be after a great walk in this beautiful part of the north Yorkshire Moors. The village is known for its quoits pitches on the green

Homely old school hostelry. Loved experiencing this pub on a late December afternoon. Great hosts and friendly customers to share a conversation with over a couple of pints of Beckwatter 🍺. Just grand.

Love this place. It may be small but it has a big heart. Friendly landlords always make you feel welcome. No music playing, just conversations round a cosy fire. Oh and it has Black Sheep Best Bitter & a little shop attached.

Fantastic - our first visit, what a find. Lovely old pub with a lovely couple running it. You might find something like this in a street life museum but to actually come across this characterful pub still serving beer was amazing - nearest I've been before was The Falcon Inn at Arncliffe. Served through a hatch from the main room this pub had character everywhere you looked - as well as a roaring fire. And don't forget to top up on sweets to help you on your way. Exceptional.

Great public house. Would happily visit again.Great licensee who made time for a informative talk. If you are walking between Grosmont and Goathland it's a must visit.
