Brewers Fayre Carousel in Scarborough

Comfortable tables, lovely setting and food was brilliant. Ribs were a little grisly but thats to be expected and the disabled toilet was clean and easy to access.I have taken one star off as many of the meal options that evening weren't available and the carvery closed at 5:30pm when we arrived and we expected it to be on later than that so we had to choose different options.

FIFTY minute wait for overcooked yet luke warm food (How?), 2 eggs instead of one and one pineapple - magicly now unavailable..., and fibre on one plate. Re-fired dishes all arrived within 10 minutes. Missing side order of Garlic Bread.... Staff heard complaining about a lack of staff, and having to deal with lots of complaints (hardly surprising, and certainly far from professional) ONE bar man working suggesting missing staff behind bar, and as re-fires were so quick to arrive, missing staff clearly not in kitchen..... As we left, another table were in the same predicament with wait time....Seriously, absolutely disgusting and completely unprofessional, clearly this pub is managed extremely poorly, leaving staff in a no-win position... Bad luck if you are employed by this business....

After a 50 minute wait the food turned up cold, we complained and it was recooked and served in 10 mins. Why couldn't it be served this way in the first place?. Staff were complaining about not having enough staff and getting "complaint after complaint after complaint" Terrible, will not visit again.

Came tonight as we visited before about a year ago and really enjoyed it. Brought our 2 year old daughter. I was quite disappointed and definitely won’t return. We both got a glass of coke, my cup was filthy. We ordered food, took 50 mins to come, wasn’t extremely busy either. Food came and you could tell it was left for a while before they brought it out, even under the heater waiting for other foods to cook or staff to collect. Staff were nice and tried to help but seemed understaffed maybe why we waited so long. Gammon did taste lovely but a very small piece. Not worth the price for me. My little girl got mac & cheese, she enjoyed it. My husband got a burger but came without the bacon inside. I did tell them and they brought some out. In all honestly I think they’re understaffed. One lady who served us & offered assistance was lovely.

We like this place. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Varied menu.However there's always something when we eat there. This time the wait between courses was over half an hour. It wasn't busy either. Then cold chips, a cold burger too resulting in one of our guests waiting another 20mins for the main course. We'd all finished by the time she got her main course, so she ate with us all watching.It's just basic stuff, with the cold food, so avoidable. Slow service, could be improved without too much effort I should think.

Found this place by accident and so glad we did. Great service, fantastic Carvery and really friendly staff. Always go to Witherspoons but this is my new Scarborough favourite. 100% will come on our next holiday

Having eaten here previously and found it a typical chain pub with "ping" meals. The meals we had yesterday were tasty. I had a cottage pie which was piping hot and a reasonable size. One of our party and had a chicken salad which she enjoyed after requesting more salad dressing. The other 2 meals were enjoyed, one was a steak, the other a burger. The fries looked almost freshly made. The staff were pleasant.

Fab lunch, even though quite short staffed food was excellent and service good. My smothered platter was amazing and my husbands gammon very good.The Rocking Rudolph beer very good.

Distinctly average "shipped in & heated" pub fayre when we went in - I'd expect it to be done a bit better for the price. There's lots of pubs in Scarborough & it sells like they're not even trying to compete and are just happy with what they see as a captive audience in the Premier Inn above.Staff were nice enough but service was slow even though the restaurant was only about a third full. Their app is a pain in the proverbial to order with too.

We went to the carousel tonight, we were very disappointed 😞 The Gammon was very small, 2 of our children got burgers at £11.79 each they got handful of chips not a meal I'd expect to pay £11.79 for and only get a handful of chips... Very disappointing as we have been visiting here for good few yeara now... Toilets were disgusting both male & female... Can out £130 lighter (family of 7) and very disappointed... won't be returning...
