Cinnamon Indian Restaurant in Scarborough

Lovely food good portions 10 out of 10

First time visiting and expected great things given the reviews and recommendations. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as we both thought it might be. Food was ok to good but nothing to write home about, the jug of water we were served was almost warm. We went in to an empty restaurant, then was followed by two other tables, we ordered first but was served our food last! The guy working there must've been the most miserable guy in Scarborough. I think it's a cheek charging £1.50 per chapatti but that's everywhere in Scarborough. I probably would eat there again with a group if invited but not in a major rush to go back. This place could be so much better with a bit of effort.

Will definitely recommend this very nice small indian/Bangla restaurant for very tasty food. One star less for not very comfy chairs though 😊😊

Really Dissapointed ,My Son came to see me for Mothers Day on Sat as I at work Sun bought the takeaway as a treat he ordered at 7pm nothing till my Son emailed at 9pm and we tried ringing eventually came 9.45 and got told 2 staff let them down told us all about that I think least thing they should give you some money back off your bill it was late eating by then as I had to be up 5am Sun for work I think they concentrate on people in the restaurant more than takeaway sI would like the owner to repay some of the money back on to my Sons Debit card as he is a regular the meal as 47.00 too expensive to be dissapointed !.

We arrived and were placed on a table to be then moved 15 minutes later to another table. We found the man rude and the atmosphere was not very nice in the room, to be honest we should of left then, however others in the group said the food was worth the move and rudeness of the man. When the food did arrive it was bland, dry and tasteless and the man hovered around the table, trying to rush us even through there plenty of empty tables around the room. The table he has Previously moved us from was still free. The man then came over Multiple times asking us if we're finished again appearing rude and then asked us to move the table again. At this point we told him we were leaving anyway. Very disappointed

i never try this again 15 quid there is no bread with food the Coca is hot this home made chicken

Most Indian restaurants are a much of a muchness....serving the same old stuff. So especially if you are vegan it is pretty dull. Cinnamon are different type altogether. With puris, different vegetable dishes and reasonably priced. The menu is colour star coded to help with allergens and different diets to.

Usually great food, but not tonight..ordered 2 tandoori grills that came very dry and overcooked. If I had been eating in the restaurant I would definitely have sent it back. Plus, more or less demanded cash instead of a debit card payment....not in any hurry to return..half of it has gone in the bin.
