We came back here on purpose from our last amazing visit before lockdown. The lovely tranquil gardens and views are fantastic. Staff were nice but although the food was nice it wasn't as impressive as last time. The pan fried salmon on a bed of grilled asparagus came with 3 sticks of asparagus so hardly a 'bed of'. All and all a great place to visit and eat.

We didn't stay in the hotel, but had breakfast there. The staff were great and the service really good too. The food unfortunately was in some areas way off point. If the Chef firmly believes what they served was Eggs Benedict they should reconsider there vocation, hard eggs and Hollandais was simply not that.

The staff were pleasant cheerful and helpful. They still allowed 🐕's in since it's got new owners in. But the downside is the alcohol is very expensive hardly heard of them apart from Coors and black 🐑 which I don't drink and the menu as well was expensive but they were just changed hands and sorting everything out. So I do wish them all the best. We will be going back to the stables pub cos we love it there still and the view's.

So nice inside and lovely grounds. The chips are below average, over cooked and tasted weird and was 50% scraps.Fish was lush, the pie went down well.Slow service but nice menu, would come back to try different things

Have eaten here twice this week now whilst on holiday in the area. The food is fantastic, the location and interior beautiful and most of all the staff a delight. Every member of staff that we dealt with were friendly and welcoming, even though we had our over-excitable puppy with us!The food was served promptly without ever feeling rushed and the food itself was tasty with a good selection on the menu. Will definitely visit again if we are in the area, and if you are looking for a somewhere to have a good meal that are not only dog friendly but truly dog welcoming you cannot go wrong.

My family managed to pull off a suprise meal for my 60th here. The staff looked after us really well, Thanks have to go to the Chef too for cooking up a particular veg for me.It has a lovely atmosphere which is ideal for meals for 1, 2, family, or Celebrations. Well worth a visit.

We have had a lovely stay here. The staff are lovely very friendly and helpful. The room was warm and welcoming . We booked for a winter break package was well worth it. We had an evening meal starting with crispy potato skins they were gorgeous lovely and crispy with the dipping sauces barbecue our favourite. I opted for the steak and ale pie with chips and veg and hubby had fish and chips with mushy peas gorgeous . The portions are quite large and we both couldn't finish our mains and couldn't even think about a sweet . The bed was very comfortable . The breakfas menu is amazing loads of options for every appetite we had full English again really nice lots of hot coffee ,fruit juices.cereals etc etc . Well worth it . Thank you everyone at the Stables we will be seeing you soon.

First, the staff were nice and friendly. We booked a table on hearing good reviews, i guess sometimes you shouldn't listen to others. We were dissapointed with our food. Pizza base was soggy, nothing worse than a soggy bottom. The cheesecake was tasty enough, it just wasn't what I thought of as a cheesecake. Seemed more like a jelly. It was a rectangular slice, what's wrong with sticking with a normal triangle slice? Suggests mass produced. Fish was poor as well, spongy batter. I'm sure some will love The Stables, we won't be back.

Nice food and great service. I go here quite regularly and although the menu is fairly small, which I actually think is a good thing, there is always plenty of a choice. The only thing that lets it down is that we have, on many occasions, had to ask them to clear the dirty plates from our tables after eating. Sometimes they have been left for 45 minutes which I think is just too long, especially for an establishment of this caliber.
