Duke Of Wellington Inn in Scarborough

I was here in the area for work for 2 weeks Charlie was so friendly. All customer chaty and sociable. Homely atmosphere

Everyone working here were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. If I return to this area this will be the place to stay.

Staff and locals so friendly, breakfast super and evening meal to. room very comfy and clean, will be returning, thank you charlie for making us feel so welcome.

The staff are friendly and very welcoming, great food and atmosphere. Cannot recommend the pub highly enough!

Perfect place to relax after a hard days walking.Great banter from locals and visitors like.Very welcoming, excellent range of beers, never felt like an 'outsider' (it being my first visit).

Stopped here for a couple of beers at the end of a long walk. Warm, cosy and friendly. Good beer and a nice place to sit and rest weary legs.

Unfortunately we have tried this pub twice to give it the benefit of the doubt and was recommended this pub too and we felt so unwelcomed both times. We felt over charged for our two drinks we had and the overall atmosphere wasn't friendly at all. We feel really sad by this on both occasions. The pub itself is cosy and warm with a lovely open fire and quiet which is perfect for what we want. However the staff are also what make this place what it is and unfortunately we won't be returning again.

This was our third visit and as always it was really good food and service was friendly and helpful nice warm clean room with comfy bed thanks to all for a great weekend stay

As ever we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Duke of Wellington. Lovely room and splendid location. Friendly and efficient service. We were well cared for and will be back.

Not overly welcoming. Food was just ok all mains bar 2 were oddly £13.45 not sure how that works. Hope prince charles was welcomed better when he went here. Walk in customers were being refused food even though tables available.
