Filey Curry House in Scarborough

Avoid came from Bradford for a weekend to Filey , my god the food here is e edible if this was in Bradford it would of closed within the first weekThese aren’t even curries just a mess thrown together and served

Very good food.And Cary is supper.Very much friendly staffs.

Thought we would try a take away. The staff were friendly and helpful and we didn’t wait long for our food. The food was hot, and was what we ordered but it was very different to our expectation based on the same order from our local Indian restaurants in Berkshire. The food tasted fine and the meat was tender but the flavours weren’t as we had hoped for.

Ordered takeaway had to wait 40 mins then got it home to the most awful Indian, it was cold the 2 chicken tikka masalas were full of water the chicken hadn't even been tossed in the sauce,it seemed to be cooked separately then just thrown in, the garlic naan had no taste the worst ever takeaway we've had..

Brilliant!!!!!We were staying in Hunmanby and they delivered no problem, service on phone absolutely excellent, we gave Brian the delivery guy a beer to take with him because he was so lovely and the food was delicious. Couldn’t fault this takeaway! Thank you for making us giggle on the phone when we ordered and adding a bit more joy to our holiday weekend. :)

Every time we stay in Filey we USED to eat here. It was incredible and although more expensive was totally worth it but now it's just average. Watery madras. Bland chicken tikka which used to be incredible. My garlic chilli lamb massala which was intense is now just spicey with no flavour and the lamb is chicken and even says lamb on the dish. Rehire your old. Chef if that's the issue or do what you did but its hone down hill.... Sorry

Just had one of the best take away meals ever, chicken was cooked to perfection, each of us had a different meal and both were excellent, even the wife, who is very fussy ate every last bit.Will definitely be back again.

Absolutely disgusted. We ordered our takeaway at 7:30pm this evening, the driver arrived at 8:25 with what we thought was our order. Upon opening the food, we discovered that we had been given someone elses order instead of our own. Like anyone would, we rang the restaurant who said that they would ask the driver to turn round and give us the right order... we kindly asked the restaurant to get the driver to ring us when he was here. 30 mins later, we hadnt heard anything so rang back to find out where he was, we were informed that he was sat down at the reception to the caravan park and had been sat there for sometime but no one had let us know... when we got to the delivery driver again, he gave us our order and appologised, saying there is "a new lad in the kitchen who is messing all the orders up" we deemed this to be a little strange, considering he hadnt been back to the restaurant to collect anything? Upon opening our food, we discovered half of it was missing and the remaining food was half eaten. Rightly so, we rang back to inform the restaurant and ask for a refund. They understood and was very appologetic, offering to make our order from fresh and give us £10 back.They promised this would be here in 30 mins to which it was. Everything was there and appeared to be fine until we opened the burger and was presented with a burger that was burnt on the edges, squashed but uncooked in the middle. The rest of my family were enjoying tucking into their curry until they found that most of the chicken pieces were uncooked.This is absolutely ridiculous, we will not be ordering again! Only rated 1 star because I am unable to give 0.

Wounderful place. Friendly and helpful staff. Fab and extensive menu at a reasonable price. Food was served hot and fresh. All in all an amazing dining experience.

Fantastic Friday Night Curry.Went early, only couple of ladies in, my friend had recommended here, and wasn't disappointed.Lovely friendly place, couldn't do enough for you.The house red wine, was good, and very reasonable.We chose a mixed grill, which was amazing, plenty of food to share, pilau rice, a vegetable side dish, definitely would return.
