Flossie's Farm Shop and Tea Room in Scarborough

The young man who was in the farm shop could definitely do with some food hygiene training. I as the customer had to ask him to wash his hands after dealing with raw meat before he continued to make our fresh sandwiches. I honestly was shocked at this and his response to me was 'yes that's not good of me is it?'. Needless to say my response back was 'certainly not' especially when dealing with food. He was also preparing fresh sandwiches on the same chopping board he had raw meat sitting on. He handed over to me my sandwiches without plates (I even had to ask for those too). I think someone seriously needs to deal with this situation before a customer becomes ill.

A wonderful place to go. Friendly environment. Very helpful and conscientious staff. . A quirky place off the beaten track on the road from Cloughton to Ravenscar. Food delightful cakes as well.

It's OK if the weather's fine, you can sit outside for a cuppa and a cake, the shop is tiny and it's the cafe as well.

Excellent place, little hidden gem, great coffee and food with a friendly welcome.

Beyond stale cake,watery hot chocolate, insipid coffee, had to throw the cake away and eat a mint to take the taste away.

Have been before and it was excellent but went today and I couldn't believe how different it was. The young man couldn't of cared less and wasn't interested at all. I ordered a beef salad sandwich and a tuna salad sandwich the salad was lettuce!! Which due to it been brown and old we had to take out. I got a bottle of drink I asked for a glass but he said If I wanted something it would have to be a mug so I asked if he had a straw he did have one. I had a £10 note but he said I would have to give right change. A big disappointment after my other visit when we were served by a lovely young lady and the food was gorgeous.

Really nice. Good food, friendly staff and great views of the coast.
