George Michael's in Scarborough

Just been To GMs, our 3rd visit. Food is consistently good and the staff are warm friendly and attentive.Prices are acceptable for the quality and would recommend the restaurant without hesitation.It is certainly on our top five restaurants in Scarborough. We consider ourselves to be mega fussy!

Food was ok although I don't see anything Greek about carrots , cauliflower cheese and potatoes. I was looking forward to some authentic food but it was all a bit so so.Staff were great and can't fault the price at all and the puddings and starters were nice .Please offer an updated menu with some more creative side dishes that would show off the chef's talent more .

Excellent moussaka! edit : I stand by this review however I have no idea why my picture of the door here has half a million views in about 4 months. I hate to say this but beloved cannabis affectionado, toilet cubicle warrior and pop king George Michael is not buried in here.

Very enjoyable experience as always the food always excellent nice atmosphere friendly staff

For starters had the Tzatziki, very nice and fresh. The pitta bread that came with it was old, cold and rubbery. For main course Solomos me gharedes.....comes with two types or potatoes and 2 vegetables. Actually came with 3 types of potatoes as there were strategically placed mashed potato coronets around the salmon. One had a prawns head on it, presume for decoration, the others cherry tomato and radish. The other potatoes were 2 boiled and 2 roast. Vegetables, cauliflower cheese and carrots. The salmon itself was tasty and cooked to perfection, the sauce bland and non descript. The dessert (ghalatopourekko) was fantastic, had that with good Greek coffee and a sambuca. Staff was pleasant and not overly attentive.

Throughly enjoyed our last night here the food was amazing thank you to dave at the Scarborough Arms for recommending especially when i am a big GM fan ,i was curious, its not GM related but you won't be disappointed 😀

Great restaurant! Glad we booked as it was very busy. The set menu is great value with two courses for £15.50. The meatballs were yummy and the moussaka very tasty.Staff were incredibly kind and patient with us as my friend has dietary requirements and they dealt with this very well.

Really good service, friendly and helpful staff. Drink prices were really good, and the food was all amazing. Beautiful presentation and it tasted as good as it looked. The gateau was nice and light and not too rich. The decor was really nice and the atmospher was great. Would absolutely recommend this place, and would definitely go back again.

We went here for our wedding anniversary and had a lovely evening. Very considerate and placed us away from a larger party so we wouldn't be disturbed. However they weren't noisy. Typical Greek restaurant decor with good menu choice and fair prices. Limited menu due to covid but very helpful and accommodating with my wife who is vegetarian and enjoyed her meal. I had a perfectly cooked steak.A lovely night had by both of us
