Greensmith & Thackwray in Scarborough

This was originally a mens colonial outfitters, hence the original sign. It has been transformed into a tasteful licensed cafe, a good varied menu is available, I can't speak for the quality of the food as we only had coffee & cake, (which was excellent), but, from other reviews & what I saw served to other tables, it sounds & looks very good. Great, friendly service, nice background music, great atmosphere, I thoroughly recommend a visit.

Almost certainly the best coffee in Scarborough. Excellent history within the name, but totally up-to-date food, service and friendliness. I go there whenever I get half a chance..

Dog friendly, delish coffee and vegan flapjacks. Beautiful decor too! What's not to like?!

A very popular Cafe with great coffee and young cheerful staff. Sometimes it's hard to get a seat now it's so vell know.

The coffee was lovely and there was a nice selection of cakes. It was nicely decorated and felt comfortable.

Great coffee, friendly staff and a lively reuse of the gentlemen's outfitters. We had breakfast, ciabatta bacon and sourdough toast both good.

Best coffee shop in Scarborough.. bacon and tomato chutney on ciabatta, cool, calm and collected atmosphere and great staff. Doing the COVID thing really well. Always a treat, try it!

It's open on Sundays as I'm here just now, a second time.just visiting this area and the coffee here is great. I had great flat whites, both normal and decaf, equally lovely. I also had a plum and marzipan cake and the roast beef ciabatta! Delicious and a feast for the eyes! The staff is very friendly! Highly recommend to go!
