Grosvenor Hotel in Scarborough

I would give this hotel 2 out of 5 stars.It was a really nice hotel and the location was good.However they wanted to charge us for 2 rooms even though we had a toddler (who co-sleeps with us) so I said it was only 2 adults.My toddler was subsequently sick on the bed as she had a nasty sickness bug and the hotel management advised 'it happens and was okay' and nothing more.Upon checkout we were charged £70 for a whole new duvet! They advised that they will simply replace everything I am surprised they are still in business.This never happens, they will wash the duvet and it will be absorbed into the business cost. What kind of hoteliers does not know how to wash out toddler vomit! We were forced to pay this service charge without any proof! £70 is absolutely ridiculous.I feel they were that they were bitter about us not adding my toddler to the booking so they got the money another way.

Great friendly staff.Wonderful owners,Made us feel very welcome.Fantastic breakfast.Room was tremendous, very very clean and well kept.Large bathroom with excellent shower.Already planning a return trip for my birthday..A real gem..

Can't fault this hotel for anything. Impressed with service, room, food and bar. Very clean room with modern decor. Good location, would highly recommend for your stay in scarborough. Will most definitely be staying again. We'll done The Chapel House you've got it right.

We booked at Airbnb.The host was more than friendly and welcoming.The room was excellent and very roomy, a mix between modern and temporary.The bathroom was superbe!!The bar area was cosy and provided a good good gin fizz cocktail and more.Breakfast was excellent and the young lady was very enthousiast enthousiastic about the hotel, knew lots of interestimg thing about the origine of the building, very kind.We would surely come here again!Highly recommendable.

Sunday lunch is beautiful just could do with a bit more of a kids style menu though but overall super happy with the top quality 😀

Chanced upon this eating place as it's off the regular footfall. We were a quite a big group but this did not deter from the quality of service or food. We were that impressed we rebooked for the following 3 days. Great hosts with a fab team supporting.

To start, the food and room was great. However the service by the owners left you wondering how they actually ran a hotel.My daughter was unfortunately sick and we had to change the duvet to be told the next day it would cost £70. Feel slightly overcharged and a huge lack of customer service applied.I would recommend the hotel but be wary of poor management.

Great place to stay. Excellent breakfast and only a short walk to the beach or to the town. Good value for money, highly recommended.

Food was lovely .staff were fabulous with us and super good with our 2 year old twins .nothing was a problem. Highly recommend.

A fantastic hotel with huge rooms huge comfortable beds, proper perculated coffee (plus choice of Decaff) Great breakfasts & Super staff & we will definitely stay again if we visit Scarborough.
