Good food at a very reasonable price. Good to see plenty of homemade cakes and quiches. The pork pie was delicious. Plenty of people were in but the service was still quick. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The dog was made very welcome. We have been many times and will definitely be coming back soon.

I had stopped off before returning to Whitby on the glorious steam train and had an hour to fill. Hazelwood Tea Rooms was a short walk from the station. I wasn't looking for anything in particular but found this delightful place. The young lady that served me was courteous and very welcoming. I ordered a ham sandwich and a scone with cream and jam. At last I found somewhere that had plain scones! I have read some reviews mentioning that the cream was not clotted but it really made no difference at all. The ham was delicious and the scone divine. It really was an excellent experience. Thank you!

A fabulous selection of food. The service was great and othing was a problem, and we got the kids left over wrapped up for a snack later. Will definitely visit again when we're in the area!

Lovely, lovely, lovely. Wonderful time sat in the beautiful garden, in beautiful sunshine eating beautiful quiche and GROSMONT TART.Keep it up Hazelwood.

Amazing little tea room, friendly staff and generous with their tea. Can't wait to grow our tree. Thank you

Do not go here. The tea was good, but everything else was bad. The scones tasted funny, and they served it with whipped cream!!! The menu just said cream and jam. We felt tricked. If you wanted to get butter you'd get a little sachet of butter and a little pack of jam. A huge disappointment.Just for kicks we went to the art gallery tea room (pretty close by) and they also served their scones with regular cream. I'd say skip tea entirely while passing through Grosmont.

Lovely place to stop off at and have a coffee and cake, the people that run it are John and sue and who will always make you welcome. Clean comfy and nice

Overpriced for the quality of food. Very limited menu. Don't even take card payments.

Over priced food that was not fantastic quality. 4 people out of our party have also been poorly after the visit.

Excellent little tea room. Was busy when we were here but it was worth a little queueing. Had a pot of tea and a delicious pork pie. Looking at their website, they're only open Easter to October. (10:30 - 17:00)
