Birthday treat for my husband and what a treat it was for us both. Very warm welcome from lovely staff and so amazing to see an open kitchen and get the full aroma of the beautiful food. We completely enjoyed our evening and just a short walk from our hotel an absolute treasure of a restaurant.

Visited Friday - made to feel very welcome. Great menu with plenty of fresh fish options, good wine list, very friendly service all topped off with the best Irish Coffee I've had in a long time :). The four of us had a great evening in comfortable surroundings - thanks to all for a great evening.

Wonderful food, wonderful service.Just felt really awkward when maskless people just wandered in and plonked themselves next to us, and even moved my bag to squeeze past me (I had to disinfect it in the toilet as I have an autoimmune disease).No-one seemed to care whether they infected other people but I was so freaked out, WE had to move to another socially distanced table.Kind of ruined an otherwise lovely meal. I don't think we'll be back.

It is an absolute gem. Cherry makes cakes from heaven. The carrot cake was made with cranberries and fruit and served beautifully! The savory menu is excellent!

Absolutely fantastic and highly recommended. There were only 2 waiting staff on on a busy Saturday night but you would never have known. The food was perfect and worth every penny.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience here - the restaurant was quite cold, it was noisy staff dropping cutlery several times - the atmosphere just wasn't welcoming. The service was slow & when we finally got our main courses they were only just warm, the ladies on the next table sent all theirs back! Would not recommend.

Went for lunch today during family day out. Food was cooked to perfection and good quality ingredients. Not suitable for wheelchair users though. Fortunately we managed to lift our daughter up the steps

Went to Lazenby's last night for a birthday celebration and we could not fault the place. Lovely atmosphere, amazing food and the staff were lovely - they did everything they could to make the birthday celebration really special! Would highly recommend the place. We will definitely visit again next time we're in Scarborough.

How do you mess up a caprese? You add fish paste. How do you mess up a raspberry martini? You mix vodka with artificial flavouring and serve it still warm with ice cubes (which you never have in a martini). How do you mess up a restaurant shortly after taking it over? Charge £19 for hake in a sea of butter (pictured) or £16 for incredibly salty linguine; leave random objects in the half-flooded bathroom like a coffee can or beer measuring device (pictured). Guys: if you're going to charge fine-dining prices, you need to start paying attention to details. It feels like you took over a menu from more competent people: the waiter, who said he didn't know how to make the raspberry "martini", was then helping the other guy make it. The product themselves (eg the mussels) are great, probably because they're using the same suppliers as the last guys. You have a steep learning curve ahead of you: please, go to a really great restaurant and see how they do it.

Really nice place... great atmosphere, good service and food was first-class, we choose the fish dishes from the menue cooked beautifully. I had little glance around the restaurant....as you do, and the steaks looked rather nice. It's well worth seeking out this little Scarborough gem, it was a Tuesday night when we were there but having said that...it was relatively full. Five stars from me.
