LOVE the cake here. Always so nice to sit upstairs and gaze out at the busy street below.

·

The best cakes in Whitby, excellent service, lovely setting and a warm welcome. Fruit cake was so good I had to eat it before I took a photo.

We decided to venture in here after looking at the amazing display of cakes in the window. I opted for the homemade Victoria Sponge and a cappuccino. The sponge was thick and as light as a feather. The ladies that served us delightful. A very nice place to stop off after all the walking up or down steps!

Very quirky as you would expect in Whitby. A good range of cakes & snacks.Sitting upstairs is not for the faint hearted!. The steps are very steep & twisty. However, if you can make it the food is served to your table!

A super little cafe with smashing cakes and friendly service

Lovely coffee shop/cafe with the BEST scones! The homemade cakes are a delight and it’s so so cosy. Warm and friendly staff and in a brilliant location.

Lovely quaint cafe selling delicious home made cakes. Had a lovely cream tea, hubbie had a great cappuccino and freshly baked on the premises, Victoria sponge with vanilla butter cream and jam. Sat on first floor overlooking street, Relaxing environment. Outside seating available. Situated in the old Town part of Whitby on route to 199 steps up to Abbey. Recommended.

A first stop after a lengthy drive to Whitby and glad we did. Lots of options in Whitby to choose from, but this cosy little spot had some amazing homemade cakes and the coffee was great. Very good service from the staff - would recommend this place if you’d like a quick cake and a cuppa.

Very quaint establishment in the heart of Whitby. The cakes are to die for. Had lunch with my daughter who had peppermint Aero cheesecake and I had a ham and cheese sandwich (the photo only shows two sandwiches, but there were four), AND a piece of coffee and walnut cake both of which were delicious. A great cup of tea too. This place is tiny and arranged over two floors with tiny rooms containing a few tables. You have to order at the counter, so be prepared for a wait as the lady behind the counter was taking orders and making drinks. She did explain that there might be a wait which was fine with me and turned out not to be too long anyway.I paid just under ÂŁ16 for two drinks, one sandwich (with generous garnish and crisps) and two huge pieces of cake. Very good value, friendly staff, excellent location. Recommended, although I know it gets very busy at weekends so I would avoid peak times.
