Mister Chips in Scarborough

Not a bad place to eat at all. The food was nice and well priced. I did enjoy it but some of it was a little bland but overall it was okay to me. Not many complaints.

Came here after watching the McMaster video and even sat in same spot and was served by same waitress 😁. Wife said the fish was one of the best she has had and I loved the pie which had tender meat which melted in mouth.

Not my first visit to this restaurant, and for good reason. Slightly off the main drag in Whitby, definitely worth seeking out! Excellent food at reasonable prices. Clean, airy and not at all cramped inside. The staff are lovely. Friendly, helpful, and efficient. They're genuinely concerned that your visit there is a positive one. Excellent!

The food was lovely here, especially the starters. The chorizo was lovely.There is a healthy selection of starters to suit most, which was surprising for a fish and chip restaurant.Service was a little slow but the place was very busy and after you taste the food you can see why.Prices were also fairly reasonable.

Other places in Whitby may have more renown, but the quality of the food here was up there with the very best.The kids and I had the usual fish and chips affair, but my wife had a healthier (but equally as tasty) unbattered fish with scallops and prawns, served on a selection of beautiful vegetables. The batter for the fish was light, crisp and not at all greasy and the chips were as equally cooked to perfection.There was also a fantastic specials board to choose from that unfortunately went unsampled.I would highly recommend 👌

The lightest batter and the flakiest fish I have eaten for a while, finished off with proper bread and butter and a pot of tea all reasonable priced Lovely and clean. The only downside is the toilets. They are really tiny and you would really struggle to use the baby changing facility.

The best fish and chips in Whitby! The fish is so succulent and melts in your mouth. The chips are perfectly cooked and season - truly delicious! The staff are always so kind, I love coming to visit Mr. Chips 😋

Went with the famThey offered a lovely gluten free fish and chips, fresh and tasty. Had absolutely no reaction after eating it so would happily recommend to high sensitivity sufferers. Great service and a nice decor with good covid spacing, and the staff were nice and helpful.

Brilliant. Great friendly welcome as soon as we arived. Good menu with a good selection other than the traditional with some gluten free although we went for the fish and chips and a pudding, - was not disappointed. Everything nice and clean. Good price. Easy access and toilets on site.Dog friendly, brought our little friend a bowl of water. No problems in recommending the sit in restraunt - will be heading here on our next visit to Whitby.
