Monks Haven Cafe in Scarborough

One of the best dog friendly cafes we have been in. Great food and service. Cosy and welcoming.

I have been doing Whitby goth for 15 years and have never been in this Cafe before but yes I am impressed The staff are so friendly and helpful and polite and dog friendly

Lovely little place. My partner absolutely loved the scones; he had 2. Coffee, not so great.

Lovely staff and a cosy atmosphere. This is the same tearooms I always go to when I go to Whitby. Our dogs love the sausages the staff give them too

Great experience. Dogs welcome and a nice little touch a plate of sliced up sausage for the dog. Very much appreciated. Would highly recommend it. Have Been before and will do again.

Today we visited Whitby for the 4th time this year and each time Monks Haven has been closed. There is no indication in the window of when it will be open in fact it states breakfast is available from 9.30. Does anybody know when it is open and why it was closed at 12.00 today and the other days we have visited? We have been regular visitors over the last 10 years so it is disappointing when we find it closed with no explanation on the website or the restaurant windows.

Lovely cafe, called in for breakfast with our dog who was made very welcome with a complimentary sausage! Staff very friendly and food was spot on, would definitely recommend 👌

Perfect. We ordered the traditional breakfast and was not disappointed. Well presented and a nice range of food. The bacon was cooked just how I like it and the coffee with hot milk made it frothy. A spotless place with attentive staff. I highly recommend this place.

We visited here today on our day trip to Whitby we seated relatively quickly the lady came and asked if we wanted to sit outside and seated us and made sure we were okay and took our orders the food came very quickly and was extremely fresh and tasty but the highlight of the experience was definitely the service, the lady couldn’t do enough for us definitely visit here again highly recommend!!

This cafe is excellent, the food was really reasonably priced and delicious.The place was very clean and also dog friendly which was a bonus (they even brought him a plate of sausage)!Staff were open and friendly and felt very at ease.Has a very clean bathroom and accepts card payments (minimum £10) also a nice few gifts for sale inside.
