We are regulars at North Bay Fisheries and they are by far the best chippy in Scarborough sensible price too!!! Highly recommend!!

Suggest ordering as they are popular. Really nice chips and a sensible portion. Fish bites were. Really nice but star buy was the home made fish cakes. All said they were the best we had had. Would. Recommend this chip shop

Consistently the best fish and chips for 5 years tasting in Scarborough, other UK cities, Southern Europe, and Africa as a very critical time served head chef (2years) and general hospitality manager with 25 years experience. Well done guys, you certainly deserve this review for serving the nations favorite far above the average. Reasonably priced at £12 for 2 medium hadocks and chips makes it an absolute treat with the option of enjoying it in the beautiful Peasholm park just across to road for a peaceful picnic.

3 of us went last night for the 1st time, just before closing time (8) the queue was out the door, always a good sign.We were hungry and asked for the large fish supper; thankfully they only had medium fish suppers left. Omg we were served with the largest fish supper ever (2 fish pieces), if that's a medium, what in heaven's name is a large; a whale?!My advice skip lunch and maybe breakfast when you go, not only large portions but deliciously battered fish and generous portion of chips provided. Amazing!Return visit one year later (I live in Scotland!), just as remembered, queue out of the door, amazing portion size, very reasonable price and great fresh taste. Get there early they close at 8!

Delicious fish and chips, and very generous portion sizes. Our first time here before the Lionel Richie gig so there was a bit of a wait as everyone had the same idea. We ordered 3cod 2 chips, the lady split the chips across all the fish for us and still the portion was very generous. Fish are large and chunky, and the batter is crispy and dark but not heavy. Chips were lovely. Recommend

Tucked away around the back of Scarborough, North Bay Fisheries serves a wonderful haddock and chips. There's some seating outside, but the view of the main road isn't exactly picturesque. I visited during the lunchtime slot so all the food was freshly-fried and piping hot. The batter didn't hold too well to the fish, but it was so light and crispy that it got a pass on deliciousness alone. The chips were fluffy and went really well with the crunchy complimentary scraps.
