Old School Coffee Shop in Scarborough

We enjoyed our lunch at this cafe today, the sandwiches are tasty enough, but we were totally dismayed at the 50p charge added for a very thin spread of chutney on a basic cheese and ham sandwich costing £4.20. Weird considering the lovely scone we had came with jam at a reasonable price, which is where cafes usually catch us tight yorkshiremen out.

I had a best slice of apple and apricot cake in here. I really want to know the recipe! I took away another slice of the cake to home:-)

Just up the lane on the way to the engine sheds, poorly advertised on the main Street, but a gem.Good range of sandwiches, cakes and drinks.Their scones are exceptional.Recommended.

Lovely place to watch the world (trains) go by....right by the main line. Beautiful surroundings, lots of tables, fab hand made sandwiches (while you wait). A great place to go! 😎 👍🏻

On holiday in Grosmont and decided to try the wood fired pizzas for supper. Ordered a "Young Turk" , and a "Toasted and Roasted "which were both delicious. Sat waiting with a glass of False Bay red wine, lovely views and lucky enough to spot a red deer too!!Great service from staff and food excellent.

Beautiful outdoor setting under the grape vines, some really nice homemade food / coffees and very friendly owners. Nice spot to watch the steam trains go by. We loved it and will return!

Loved the roasted carrot, turmeric and caraway seed soup. Nice coffee too in a handy place to see the steam trains go by. Only downside was the lack of option to have brown bread.

This place is so lovely, as are the staff. Wish I’d known about it before eating elsewhere, only had the coffee which was great. Would love to return to try the array of cakes!
