Panorama Restaurant at Raven Hall Hotel in Scarborough

We had our Wedding at Raven Hall and still cannot believe the amazing day that we had! From the initial booking to the actual event which was delayed due to covid, Ben, the Hotel Manager was very friendly, approachable and accommodating, always making time to meet with us to discuss our wedding plans. Ben has such a reassuring way about him, we knew we were in good hands! Have to mention Amy also who behind the scenes did amazing with all our guests last minute changes and tweaks.Our 4 day stay got off to a great start with an evening meal in the Panorama Restaurant the night prior to the wedding with 16 of our closest family members. We received really great service from the staff and the food was delicious, especially the steaks. We were also treated to an amazing Sunset!On the day of the Wedding Ben, Tom, Phillipe and the whole team did a fantastic job and just made our day so memorable and super special. Everything was perfect and we couldn’t have wished for anything more. We had the option of getting married outside or inside and chose inside in the end as the inside venue is stunning.Following the ceremony drinks and canapés were set up on the lawn overlooking the bay. This was exactly what we wanted and again Phillipe was incredible, attentive and the Prosecco never stopped flowing!The Wedding Breakfast food was delicious and tasted as good as it looked, all our guests commented on how lovely the food tasted and was presented. The staff were all incredible and very accommodating with all our guests needs. Our guests travelled from all over the country and everyone of them had a fantastic time and loved Raven Hall!In the morning, breakfast had everything you would need from cereal, pastries, a buffet consisting of traditional fried breakfast items and also a menu from which to order other items. Even with a full breakfast room the staff were friendly, efficient and everything ran like clockwork.All the staff at Raven Hall are a true credit to the venue, we can not praise them enough. Names that we can remember and spring to mind are Ben, Tom, Phillipe, Amy, Jacob, Maria, Peter and Lewis.Thanks again to you all for making our day perfect. There is literally not one thing we would change and we are so thankful to you all!!!!!We will be back as soon as possible!Many thanks again.Tom and Paul x x

Rooms were clean but ageing.Staff were very friendly. Food was very good.Location is outstanding.I loved the decor in the dining room, reception and lounge.For the price I paid I was more than happy.

Staff are so friendly and enthusiastic about their job. The views throughout the hotel are picturesque with a great view of the hills and the bay. Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a scenic getaway with class service. Furthermore the food at the hotel is absolutely sublime, what a wonderful stay.

Right on the cliff face this hotel. Views are very impressive. Hotel is clean and tidy. Most staff were friendly. The pool and games room is very good to use. Priced like a hotel though. Would recommend though.

Don’t waste your time or money.Please see the attached photos and read this before booking here.The rooms are dirty. See the photos I attached. The clean spots are when I cleaned the bathroom floor with tissue and shampoo. It’s gross. The carpets had dirt and stains all over them.They had a party outside my room window and death metal was playing until 2330.There was only one window to see out of in the room and it had a staircase blocking the whole thing which also let people look directly in at you. We asked and paid for a room with a view.We checked in 15 minutes after check in started and there were no reservations left for the pool. They blamed it on covid, but covid regulations are no longer in effect.We asked for dinner reservations and because of a wedding we couldn’t have dinner here either. :(It is such a shame that this beautiful place is so badly run. :(.

Went here because my daughter is getting married at this Hall. It is set on a cliff over looking the sea, a beautiful place there are lifts for disabled people which is great for my husband. Did not see the rooms but will be staying for a couple of days when the big day comes.

Raven Hall has the most breathtaking views from it's lovely gardens and from the hotel itself. It retains it's past grandeur although the decor throughout is tired and would benefit from some tlc. The staff are wonderful and the food good..

I love the fact the staff are always so friendly. The food is lovely and the surroundings and history of Ravenscar draws me back year after year. It's also dog friendly and welcoming, the dog rooms comfortable and homely.One thing has always stood out for me, the staff have always been lovely.... attentive and obliging.The best rooms are stunning with amazing views. Suitable for weddings. Lovely gardens with a sea view. Plus a beautifull equipped room on the ground floor with wheel chair access and wet room if required.I Iike the fact it is, I believe, independently run. It certainly is much more welcoming than the big hotel chains. If something does need attention it is dealt with calmly and one gets the feeling these are happy staff, doing the best they can in a busy and demanding job.

Popped in for a coffee and a walk around the grounds. Quite an old fashioned property but stopped in history. Worth a wander down the garden overlooking the sea, you're likely to see seals in the cove below. There's a path down the side where you can have a walk towards the coast. Lovely friendly service from the staff.

Great place to stay for a short stay.Lovely food, just stay away from poached eggs in morning, I had to send four back as they were tepid on the outside and flat fridge cold on the inside. No interest from breakfast cook. Head waiter tried to tell me that they are plunged into ice water after cooking, but that does not explain cold in, warm out. Stick with fried egg.Place to store ebikes in lockup and charge battery. Wonderful ride to Whitby and Scarborough along cinder pathway.Our room was on 3rd flour and I thought the roof was going to blow off. This is a continual issue on windy nights.Hotel pool was really good and warmVery good service from staff. Evening meals are very good quality, tasty and substantial. Lovely views over towards robinhoods bay.
