Plough Inn in Scarborough

We stayed here with friends for 2 nights, in one of the houses rented out across the street. Exceeded our expectations, the place was beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds, great shower, everything was outstanding.Had dinner at the pub one evening which was lovely food, friendly service, just across the street! Easy drive from Scalby to popular towns, with parking at the back of the property.

Extremely relaxing stay at the plough. Very friendly staff with good information about local walks and places if interest. Good choice of drinks in the bar and the food Awesome.The only down side could be on street parking as it's in the middle of the village dating back before cars were thought of.Great little find and on the list to stay again.Cheers to all the staff.

We ate at the Plough in Scalby last night. It’s a lovely pub and the food was delicious! I would highly recommend the pork belly! The staff were very polite considering how busy it was. Good selection of beers on tap as well. We will definitely be revisiting next time we are in Scarborough!

Traditional pub, food good. Only complaint was, we were slightly early for our meal booking. Got a drink sat down,. mentioned to bar staff we were hear. Think they forgot about us as I had to remind them. They were very busy, sat us at a table in the bar area rather than in the eating area. Booked for Easter, hopefully will get a better table.

Staff were friendly but didn't appear too helpful except the chap who served breakfast, he was great. Nice room but small and very dark with Limited lighting. Bonus was plug next to bed.

Delicious food, excellent range of dishes and fantastic staff and service. Highly recommend to anyone

What a Lovely evening 😊 we visited with our two small children and were made to feel very welcome by the friendly staff, the restaurant had a great atmosphere, our food came quickly (we both had the chicken and chorizo pie) and was so delicious! Honestly the best pie I've ever had ! Would definitely recommend !

Beautiful pub,and the Christmas decorations were far above your average locals efforts. A couple of good beers on tap and friendly quick service. Would highly recommend

Wonderful! Fantastic! Superb! Visited on Saturday afternoon with the family. The mushroom soup with chestnut and sage pesto was inspired; the pinnacle of deliciousness and a true 'chef's kiss' dish. Hearty, door-wedge sandwiches. Super sticky toffee pudding. Perfect espresso. The pub interior is also beautiful and the staff are nothing short of seasoned professionals. The Plough is fantastic. We cannot speak highly enough of it. Ate there last week on two consecutive nights and absolutely loved it. Top Restaurant food at pub prices, in a great atmosphere. Super friendly and efficient staff.
