Nice pub food, but we had booked a table for 7.30, was then told at the bar that food service had stopped. Had I not told the bar lady that we'd booked the table, we would have had to go elsewhere for food, having travelled all that way. In the photo you can see the hunter's chicken burnt at one end. Hospitable and friendly staff though, food tasted lovely, would go again. Can understand if food service ends early due to lack of staff, but this wasn't even posted on Facebook.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Was advised when ordering that food would take over half an hour, which was fine, we were happy to wait. After an hour I politely asked how much longer our food would be, as 3 hungry children were waiting. The land lady was rude and came up with 2 different excuses, and more or less shouted at me to sit down. Not even a sorry. The food came out after another 20 minute, it was inedible, the beans were dry, cold and crusty. Not as cold as the horrible land lady. Will not be returning. Feel so sorry for the lovely waitresses that work there.

Wasn't approached by any members of staff when arrived. Seated ourselves, was passed by same member of staff at least 3x who didn't even acknowledge us. Basic menu items like chicken dippers unavailable on a Sunday! Walked out** edit after response from owner: You need to sort out your app then or advise customers when they come in (that would of course mean your staff acknowledging the customers) that it is not accurate because most of the things we tried to add were unavailable! Chicken dippers, mixed grill, chicken burger. All said unavailable. And yes, we have been greeted when visiting other sizzling pubs. Whether it is a requirement or not, good hosts at least say hello/ ask if they can be of any assistance.

Lovely, had a really nice mixed grill, pint of Doombar. Cannot fault the Rosette, definitely will be back. Highly recommended.

The Rosette is a pustule in an otherwise quaint village. We've visited other sizzling pubs before, and the bar was set by the Friendly Forrester in Bridlington. We don't expect a lot, but the standard set by the Friendly Forrester was expected. We'd reserved a table but upon arrival there was noone available to direct us. We eventually decided to find our own table and attempted to order on the app. Almost every meal we tried to order was unavailable. The place was run down and dirty. If this place was your sister you'd tell her to get a make over and check her attitude. I'd avoid this place in favour of literally anywhere else in the area. Currently writing this from the Tunney Catch which was warm and welcoming on arrival.Update: the owner responded with the following:"Chris Braithwaite, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around." To which they later changed to "After looking further into our booking system we cannot find a booking for you for the whole of last wk . There was only lasagne not available on our menu yesterday as this was out of stock at our suppliers."As if it was inconceivable that the table could have been booked under a different name to that of my own, because we live in a world where everyone gets married and shares the same surname to that of their spouse /s 🤔😏🙄.We even called ahead to advise that we were running slightly late to which we were told that it wouldn't be a problem (see picture). In spite of the management protests about the stock levels, I can assure everyone reading this that when we attempted to order food, we were unable to due to the various dishes being unavailable (see screenshot for evidence)But instead of taking the review as feedback and simply apologising and accepting responsibility, management decide that they'd rather argue with a customer like this whole event is some elaborate rouse designed to discredit them.Don't take my word for any of it, use their response as a testament as to what to expect of you ever have the misfortune to find yourself in this dank, dirty, armpit of an otherwise delightful village.

Brought my Wife and Mother for lunch today - the food, drinks and service were excellent. A nice light and clean enviornment, spacious pub/restaurant which was friendly and comfortable, will return, Regards, The Carson's.

They unfortunately close the kitchen due to covid absences, which is understandable. However they don't bother informing the customers who booked tables for food despite contact details for the bookings being left. Turned up with hungry kids.

It's chain pub food. Vast portions of forgettable food cooked by people who don't care.UPDATE NOV 2021I have downgraded my review for the following reasonsThe lady Lorraine does not care for her customers comfort. The Barman is the same. We requested a change in table as two of us were disabled and she had put us in line when the door opened the cold wind came in it was the beginning of Storm Arwen and though there was an empty table she refused to shift us. The outer door which has big glass door was not closed the most silly reason I have ever heard in a long time that people will think the pub is closed inspite of it of there being big glass windows and door itself is half glass.I shudder to think that we may have been treated in this manner because of our colour, cause others were given the table we asked to move on saying it is empty you'll can sit there.Mr Barman also refused to beleive that there was no menu card on our table.I have never been treated so badly in the other sizzling pubs l visit to date. The dish with crispy beef with sesame seeds(missing) with rice was good and did come sizzling to both of us who ordered. The Hunters Chicken did not come sizzling even the onions and cheese had not cooked. The desserts were the best of all.The place was also not well heated. The waitresses was trying to make up fot the rudeness of her bosses it was very obvious. The choice is finally yours if you want to visit this pub!!!
