Had fish and chips for 5 tonight. I am an avid eater of fish and chips andthese were as good as Ihave had.The fish was nice and solid and grease free.the chips were crunchy outside and soft inside. Really nice thank you.

Staff were fantastic! It was fairly busy and we only saw the one staff member managing all the tables and public areas but she did amazing. The food delicious, my son got his favourite, sausage and chips which he said was very good. I am vegan so there was only one option on the menu - we were advised that they cooked in animal oil but that they would cook some chips for us separately in vegetable oil. They also checked the bread and informed us that it wasn't vegan - so definitely very attentive as not all places think to check things like bread. Thank you so much!

Pure white flaky fish perfectly cooked. Light batter and very good chips. Portions are good and the staff very bright and friendly. What more can you ask?

Always have the haddock meal here. It's never less than excellent, boneless fish, freshly cooked and well served. The prices are catching up with some of other well known fisheries in Whitby but the food is just as good, and still represents very good value.

Great place to visit and very big choice of yummy food;) I love a choice of the fish. I prefer scampi, but sea bass is tasty as well. My kids love chips, sausages and curry sauce from there. For the time I've been writing this feedback, started to go there again and to have my favorite fish and pieces of the scampi as well. So looking forward to go there on our next visit. Thank you for tasty food!

There are lots of fish and chips shops in Whitby. I decided to pop in to Royal Fisheries. It was good choice. Clean. Professional staff. And very tasty food. I recommend haddock with chips.

This really is great fish and chips. My plaice was cooked perfectly with lovely crispy batter. The chips were crisp too with fluffy insides. Everything was hot. Server was rushed off her feet but still cheerful and attentive. Give the restaurant a try.

Best fish and chips in Whitby! I had the cod and my husband had the haddock and both absolutely delicious, great crispy batter and white flaky fish and not greasy at all, mushy peas an added bonus as was the bread and butterWe were also able to have a bottle of wine with our meal at a very reasonable price and not a bad ChardonnayThe staff were very attentive and friendly and even gave my husband extra chips at no extra costWas full of local people too who were singing their praises

Super fresh fish with excellent table service in the adjacent room to the take away. Slightly let down by crinkle chips and not home made sauces eg tartare, but not enough to take away a star given such excellent tasting fish!
