Our absolute favourite restaurant to visit when we are in Whitby. Fantastic food and baby friendly! Courteous and attentive staff. The eclectic combination of antiques and vintage furniture make the Rusty Shears a must to visit.

Excellent food for the price. Our seafood platter from the specials menu was outstanding. Really friendly welcome and service. Slightly hard to find, but we'll worth hunting out.

I absolutely love this place. It was recommended by a friend who knew we were coming to Whitby. You would never know it was there, it's behind a gated wall which takes you into a lovely court yard with lots of greenery were you can have a drink before you eat. Inside is amazing and quirky, it's like being asked around for tea by a friend. The staff are superb and extremely knowledgeable about the food they are serving you. Great gin bar serving local gins and again they know all about them. Such a relaxing atmosphere. It was so good we tried to go back the next week but they were full unsurprisingly. Definately going to come back

Very laid back cafe/restaurant. Lovely quirky interior. Amazing cakes, light salads and sandwiches, great gins and beers. Not so much food choice on a sunday but if you want a light meal with amazing cakes in an off main drag location that's dog friendly too it's a good place to go.

This is a nice hole in the wall place that offers a variety of cafe style menu items. It has a cute terrace styled outside seating as well as the inside which is filled with beautiful decorations. I only sat outside with my partner and we came here for an early breakfast on bank holiday weekend, we were lucky to be seated as it got quite busy. I ordered the spice chai latte and scrambled eggs and it was one of the most delicious and filling breakfasts I’ve ever had. I sound like a cliche but it really did set me up for the rest of the day! The spiced chai latte is really smooth and hits the spot. As for the scrambled eggs they must have made them 1000 times before getting them this perfect. I’ve never had eggs made that outstanding before. I highly recommend this place for a breakfast to tackle the other activities at Whitby!

A quaint coffee house with lovely sunday all day brunch options. Great fresh coffee and I had the most amazing smashed avocado with poached eggs and portobello mushroom. Loved the ambience and crockery!

I really wanted to have a nice breakfast during our holiday in Whitby and came across this place on TripAdvisor. The food was absolutely delicious. We've ordered scrambled eggs with salmon, scrambled eggs and bacon, and smashed avocado on toast. The drinks and food came quickly and were served on beautiful vintage crockery. The hot chocolate was so decadent, a delight in a cup! I recommend, 10/10 from us.
