scarborough arms in Scarborough

Loved it amazing home made food and really dog friendly! Both staff and owner all very helpful will be our go to for trips to Scarbs 👌🏼

There is dog friendly and then there is the Scarborough Arms, stopped in here whilst on holiday. Wish we lived closer!! The staff all made a fuss of our cheeky pup, she got her own water and food bowl for a chicken breast, the staff also passed some dog biscuit treats for her.Our meals were huge and we enjoyed every last bit that we could fit in. Thr husband enjoys a challenge so he had the massive mixed grill and I had the clucking marvellous burger which was delicious and again a huge portion. The pub was newly decorated in tasteful colours and the toilets were really nice which is always noted by me.Couldn't fault the place and if we visit Scarborough again we will be back!!

Lovely pub, a bit out of the way. Lady behind bar was very friendly. Ordered fish & chips, and meat pie. Both were really tasty, fish was huge. Would definitely come again.

Not even through the door before being asked if we'd booked. Had to get our own menus, had we not asked about ordering nobody would have told us we had to order at the bar. 30 mins wait signs on the bar, after 45 minutes nothing had appeared. 5 minutes later, food arrived. I ordered chicken and leek pie, had beef gravy on it. Chicken was dry and the chips were rather brown. The veg however, tasted like it had been sat in water since last Sunday. There were only 7 mains on the menu, no need for such a wait and definitely not worth it! Another table ordered specials which were never even mentioned to us. The ratio of quality and price was bad too

Absolutely beautiful food highly recommend great value for what you get

Myself and husband called in on a whim really, the pub itself was lovely and clean and the lady behind the bar serving us was very polite and helpful. We enjoyed a nice early tea of fish and chips and the steak and ale pie, it surpassed anything we were expecting and both left clean plates. Again high praise to the bar staff, we will gladly return again!

Absolutely amazing food. If you have a big appetite then this is definitely the place to eat! The staff were really helpful and so friendly. We'll be back again soon for sure and be recommending it to everyone. Lovely pub!

This is a pub that over past few years has dragged itself out of the mud. The management changed and it has moved from frozen, frozen and more frozen food to top class pub food. Its like a cross between fine dining and traditional pub food. EVERYTHING on the menu is not only home made, it is quality home cooked food. The chips are three times cooked, the onion rings are huge and home battered. The portions are a really good size and each plate is made up of a multitude of colour, creating a eye watering visual, aswell as, flavoursome gastronomical experience. The only frozen here is the ice in your drinks. After speaking to the head chef, it's obvious that he and his staff have a passion for cooking and want to share that passion with its customers.Fabulous food, competitively priced and an atmosphere that makes you relaxed from the offset.

What a nice and friendly pub , lovely menu to choose from and plenty of choice for either beer wine and spirits. The first time in Scarborough and in the Scarborough Arms. What I would say is if you like a pint , wine or spirits or to have some food then I'd say .. It's well worth a visit..

Visited twice this week, lovely pub, staff were great, very welcoming and working hard to keep everything clean and safe, the food on both days was really really good, I recommend you come hungry! Beautifully presented and excellent value for money.I can highly recommend the Scarborough Arms 😁
