The Anvil Inn in Scarborough

A beautiful country pub, tastefully furnished which along with the log fires gives it a lovely cosy atmosphere. We had the steak pie for lunch and I would highly recommend it.

Absolutely outstanding village pub - delicious and beautifully cooked food, very friendly owners, a great pint and dog friendly; in a welcoming and cosy setting - 10/10!

Haven't eaten here but many recommendations from taxi passengers suggest that the new management have got it right. Great food, decent menu and reasonable prices amongst the comments made.

Just had the most amazing stay here! The Nail shed is the perfect get away, the food and service were outstanding. Great hosts, thank you for a wonderful break.

Thankfully a saved, re - born village pub with restaurant, offering fantastic unpretentious food.Lovely attentive staff. Passionate owners serving locally sourced ingredients, with a menu to suit all palettes. Good wine, and gin selection. Well kept beer.Got to be a winner. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely lunch. Never been before we had 3 courses each, every one was delicious. Will definitely be going back and would highly recommend. Staff were lovely, very nice and friendly.

Another wonderful local meal. This time had the creamy garlic mushrooms, lovely, followed by fish n chips, delicious beautifully white fish cooked to perfection. Staff attentive and friendly. Will be back soon.

Excellent family run pub with a good selection of food. We had fish and chips which were exceptional and some of the best I've had. Affordable too!Had wold top which was sublime and went down a treat.Will be going again and cannot recommend enough

Under new management.Absolutely outstanding food and excellent service. The decor is amazing in every room along with a very cosy real log fire in each room warming the whole place up beautifully. The food is out of this world and excellent value for money, the owner and staff couldn't do enough for you and make you feel extremely welcome throughout you visit. Looking forward to the b&b rooms to be ready as we will certainly be visiting again.
