The Badger Hounds in Scarborough

My husband and I were staying in Runswick Bay and Badger Hounds was recommended for a Sunday Roast.We were not disappointed - we went last Sunday and we had the best roast dinner we have had in a long time.The staff were really attentive and friendly and the food was super, good portions and the choice of vegetables was really great. Wish we had a Badger Houndsnear where we live .

The Badger Hounds was just what we needed, a delicious Sunday roast. Service efficient and polite. Portions ample, but not too much. Decor in the restaurant very nice. The toilets are in urgent need of an upgrade. The quips about pointing Percy to the porcelain etc, are understandable and funny. But are they really necessary? Overall would go again.

Fantastic local pub! Couldn’t have wished for a more friendly welcome to the village. Definitely will come back - well behaved dogs are welcome, just not on the table! As you would expect.. other reviewers are rude and tbh who would let their dog sit on their dinning room table anyway!See you soon! Thanks very much for the warm welcome 🤗

We've been lucky enough to dine here on a number of occasions.The staff are very attentive, caring and efficient...The menu is varied with a specials board to broaden choices! Immaculately clean throughout the premises. Great value beers and spirits.

Visiting North Yorkshire moors and coast. Pre-booked this place blind for two nights before we came. Tuesday Italian night both of us had pizza and just like to say they were both amazing. Second night very busy had two wonderful starters followed by two excellent mains. If you are up this way don't miss out but please pre-book your table as a number of people were turned away as they had not booked in advance.

Absolutely fantastic! Food is perfect! We went twice in a weeks stay locally. The meat feast pizza on tuesday (pizza and pasta night) was the best meat feast pizza i have ever had by a country mile! Fresh locally sourced meat, not like your usual processed garbage.The whole place is warm and welcoming. The staff are great! Cannot fault! If you are in the area then a booking for dinner is a must! A++++++

Had a meal on Wednesday evening - first class food and such friendly, efficient service . The whole place has a lovely, welcoming feeling - thanks guys. We will be back, and will make a point of mentioning it to our guests who stay at our holiday cottage in the area.

Absolutely immense. Great food, lovely atmosphere and very pleasant staff. Would definitely recommend trying this place. Worth the drive on it's own.

Brilliant Sunday lunch so tasty and well thought out best roast I've experienced for ages. Lovely friendly staff would recommend highly if you are in the area. Shall return soon .

In the area for a couple of days - booked a Sunday roast and could not have been happier. Food was amazing - so many times we've been out for a Sunday dinner and thought we preferred our home cooked - not this time. Honestly it's the loveliest of pubs with fantastic food. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Very sad to find out it was closed on our last night.
