The Chefs Place in Scarborough

Went to collect order and he is charging more than the price on menu and said i am the boss i can charge what i want ...He got big attitude and rude behaviour ..and he is saying don't come to my restaurant... absolutely ridiculous👎🤬🤬

Just had a delivery from here on just eat. We ordered 2 kebabs and 1 portion of chips. . Chips were missing and the pitta bread on both kebabs were not edible. They were stale and rock solid. The kebab meat wasn't much better than the pitta .. would not recommend

Literally the worst takeaway experience I’ve ever had. Turned up 10 mins early for collection - no prob at all, except we were waiting for 30 mins till our food was ready while the chef inside shouted at and berated the clearly young lad who was new. Food quality was utter rubbish. Vegetarian wrap didn’t describe what was in it on the menu - turns out it was solely mushrooms, pineapple, and sweetcorn. Who combines those three ingredients?! The cheesy garlic bread was drenched in oil and tasted purely of grease. The chicken Parmesan clearly used out of date béchamel sauce because it tasted horribly gone off. The onion rings were soggy and disappointing, while even the salad provided was already browning and close to its use by date, if not already gone off. The only saving grace was the chips were decent. Would never return here even if someone paid me - and give the kid inside a break.

RAW awful food we ordered a margarita pizza, cheesy chips and a 3litre bottle of fanta chips arrived half cooked cheese wasn’t melted and pizza looked like it had all the cheese scraped off the top and dumped into one pile then to top it all off they had forgotten our fanta so we rang up and they said they were going to send someone to bring us it 15 mins later still no sign so we phoned up again and they just said the same thing. very poor service and horrible hygiene dont order from here

Frozen cheese cake the chips were like old socks no exyra cheese or extra bacon on my burger, one simply shouldnt have to cook there cheese cake under the grill just to defrost it

Absolutely rubbish food took hour to come was Luke warm soggy they must get free salt how salty the pizzas are absolutely rubbish food they want to hire this place for the Bush tucker trials in I'm a celebrity#dogshite

Save your money this is the worst takeaway we have ever eaten from and we never ever complain. Chips arrived soggy and 2 of them raw, onion rings were not cooked well and the batter was still a pale stodgy consistency and had a grainy feel, the salad for some reason was listed as fresh however the lettuce was brown in some areas the cucumber was hot?? God knows why, and the whole side salad had a very strong tangy taste almost like it had been soaked in Lemmon, we also had ordered a tomato garlic bread, the garlic bread was barely warm at best zero garlic taste tomato was extremely tangy and the cheese was probably the best bit about it. My partner ate a slice of the garlic bread as did myself and the rest went in the bin. Absolutely disgusting. I have no idea if it’s related so I can’t be sure but I’ve woken up today with a serious stomach ache and feeling sick.

I ordered the lge rump steak and after a slight error it was marvellous. Hot and tasty and promptly delivered.

My kebab was still frozen in the some chunks but the chips were piping hot like they were cooked in a microwave and at looking at some of the reviews the boss/Eddie clearly dosent care if he kills someone due to food poising or claims that people are lying.

We have been using Chefs Place for many years and will continue to do so, however, we have noticed it's not the same. You don't always get what you order with deliveries, chips are always soggy our recently delivered '5 cheese' burger was not what we expected. The owner is great but with the recent price increases i think they just need to step it up a bit and pay more attention to the quality of the food they are selling!
